Letters to the editor: Raise retirement age
#1 Nov 9, 2010
I remember the red cars that went up Lake Ave to Mt. Lowe incline, out to San Bernardino and down to Long Beach and the Pike Amusement Park. They were lots of fun, Too bad we did not just cover the rails so we could uncover them a few years later.
I understand that a speed trial to San Berdoo set a record for the big boxy red cars and hit over 100 miles per hour.
Sure beats cruise ships getting stuck off the coast Mexico. Wonder if they brought any fishin gear?
North Lake Village Association would like them to return to Lake Ave and bring the people up to the Lake , Washington Village.
