This just goes to show you that teenagers shouldn't drive. the father should be put in jail if he did give them the alochol. Hopefully there will be a lesson learned here. I feel for the mother.

I just today heard his mother tell this story. It is very sad, and upsetting. I myself got a DUI. That is why I was there to listen to his mother talk about his accident. Let me tell you, it was a very eye-opening experience. I will NEVER EVER drink and get behind the wheel. You dont know what it's like until it's happened to you.. And for all of you ignorant people.. His father was NOT the one who bought him the alcohol. The man who did, fled the state the day of trial and still has not been convicted.. And no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. It's just sad he is not here to learn from them.

whats sad is that this boy has lost his life. yes over a bad decision. but what teen doesn't think there unbreakable.but also some of you on here calling him a dumb ass and saying all these hurt full things are old enough to no that its wrong to be disrespectful like that to someone you don't even no.. and you probably have kids of your own and do u no what they do every minute there not with you..no. so don't judge people or be immature and call a boy who lost his life names.. you don't no him.. so really grow up and don't be hurtful cause what if it was you your kid or someone you was close to..

i agree with the unknown person from Everett, WA ya sure he did drink and then drive but every body does stupid stuff.... some get another chance and others dont and even if they dont get another chance they leave an example for others.
Justin is missed so much. if ANYONE is put into jail it should be the neigbor that gave them the drink in the first place.

half these people saying justin is a dumbass. i bet atleast half of you have drank and got in your car. justin was not a spoiled kid. his parents wanted him to have nice things. all parents want the best for there kid and he was lucky to get it. he made a bad choice and he paid sadly his life.

My heart goes out to all who are hurt by this young mans death. Regardless of how it happened it's very tragic. I believe teens should have visits to the city morge as field trips just to see how they could end up by drinking and driving or how their victims could end up. Then spend time with the family. Life is precious, especialy others so if you don't care about yourself or your invincible, that's grand, just remember that little boy just playing ball may not be so lucky.

I would just like too say too the ones calling Justin Stump a dumb ass, What is wrong with yourself? have you ever lost anyone? Do you love or care about anyone because if you ever lost someone then too here one call someone that was loved and cared about a dumbass you would think that is very rude. I hope that when someone dies you really care about they going around calling them a dumbass so you can see how your own words can hurt. People make mistakes if you live you learn from them, if you don't then others learn from that mistake well the ones with good heads on there shoulders do, Its life we all make mistakes. So don't sit and talk down about another loved and cared for.. Keep rude comments like that too your selfs and have Common courtesy.

Cam, you need to learn the difference between too and to.

That said, I HAVE lost a "loved one." My brother was killed in an automobile accident more than twenty years ago and I still miss him. That I miss him does not change the fact that he was a dumb ass. He rarely wore his seatbelt when driving his personal car although he ALWAYS wore a seat belt when driving the company vehicle.

He was an extremely careful driver when on company time yet he threw caution to the winds when in his personal vehicle. He was a dumb ass but at least he never drank and drove.

How many times have "we" done something stupid and lived to tell about it? Just because we didn't die does not mean that we weren't dumb asses for doing the stupid things. How many times have we done the same stupid thing more than once without mishap? Every time we did we were dumb asses.

Justin was a dumb ass. He did something stupid and it cost him his life. It doesn't matter how much he was loved or how much he had to live for or anything else. He did something that is commonly known to be stupid and he paid the ultimate price for that. He was a dumb ass and it cost him his life. Most of us get to do many stupid things in our life and we get away with it until that last time. For Justin that last time was just a bit sooner.

Grieve for him but learn the lesson.

My son was Justin's best friend. I can not tell you the effect his death has had on him. It has changed his life completely and the lives of many of their friends. To the person who called him a dumbass---well, you are not to judge! Accidents happen. This one was tragic! My son will never be the same. Justin was avery lovable kid who would go out of his way to help anyone! I lived 3 house down from him and he was like one of my own.. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. His older brother Spencer is a rock! He held8965 his family together through this whole thing. I think it is awesome the close friends of Justins got tatoos in his rememberence, Kids are Kids, they make mistakes! Unfortunately Justin will never get to learn from his. But the rest of us did! Rest in Peace Justin--You're in Gods hands now. We love you!!!!

I sure as hell WILL judge the dumb ass actions of someone that drinks and drives. Justin was a dumb ass and he was also incredibly stupid. It seems that this was NOT the first time he drove while he had been drinking, it was that this time his number was up.

So he was a "lovable kid", he "went out of his way to help others", he "lived three houses away from someone", he had an older brother, his dumb ass friends got tattoos in his remembrance. NONE of that means squat when it comes to his making a stupid decision; not once, but several times and finally paying with his life.

Justin Stump was a dumb ass and so is his father. Justin paid the ultimate price for being a dumb ass and his father now has to live with the thought that his dumb ass actions directly led to the death of his son.

Maybe Justin's death can help prevent someone else from making the same dumb ass decisions, but I doubt it.
