Report: Housing woes won't end soon

Signs are emerging that the U.S. housing market's long slump is likely to continue through the summer, and may not recover for at least another year.

Housing woes? There are housing woes? Is housing in trouble or something? The realtors say that things have never been better, but I think that both prices and inventory will be MUCH better for us future buyers in another year or so. Taxes and insurance will also be more reasonable in another year or two. Yeah, I think I'll just buy a couple more CDs and wait a while longer.

I've put down bigger down payments for a new car than what most people put down for home loan for a McMansion during the housing boom peak. The boom was funny. Homeowners, old and new, calling renters losers. They were living a Cristal lifestyle on a Pabst Blue Ribbon budget. Meanwhile, the rates adjusted on their ARMs, price of fuel and food went up, but the big raises and bonuses at work never came in. Now all these clowns want to be bailed out.
