And MY ears were pierced.(That's karma for you.) These were Indian telemarketers, who won't respond to your pointing out the illegality of their calling after you've told them to stop. I sympathize with their crappy life and all, that they'll hear a whistle and still try to talk to sell you, but when you tell them they're breaking the law and they still think you'll be willing to trust them for their financial product, that's just nuts. When saying "no thank you" and the do-not-call list and blowing a whistle all do not work, one thing that does work is to use caller ID to identify that it's them (or likely them, when the caller ID doesn't identify), get your PC ready to play a "this is a recording" message that you've found online, then start playing the MP3 as soon as you pick up a phone near the PC. Such an MP3 can be found by Googling or by using the one here: http://www.thisisarecording.com/sounds/mp3/30... This one says the number they dialed is no longer in service. The audio will be lousy by the time they receive it on their end, but that doesn't seem to compromise the credibility of the message: they did stop calling.

THIS is why Obama needs to institute Socialism in America! Either train people to build houses or to be Brain Surgeons or give them welfare or disablity. Worse A-hole EVER was a dating service guy in New Jersey ten years ago. SHEESH!!

You people are all insane. Get so worked up over a few phone calls. Because of stupidity like this, our economy is dying. Blowing whisles in the phone, that is assault and if it were me on the other end your ass would be going to jail, I promise you.
The dumbing down of America. Sad but true.

Joe - Deerfield Beach Fl wrote: <quoted text> I got the same call last week. Same exact excuse they used when I told them I didn't want to give my CC over the phone. So today I reeived a mailing, with me thanking me for my donation (I told them I'd send them a check). Here is the contact information on the letter: 1-866-391-6762. 1549 Ringling Blvd, 6th Floor, Sarasota, Fl 34236. The letter says "a copy of official registration and financial information may be obtained from the division of consumer services by calling toll free 1-800-435-7352. REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE". Joe: My husband & I also got a call from them, my husband asked them to send us information so we could do research on them. But like you, I was unable to find anything on the Internet regarding this organization. Have you found out any more information? In the meantime, we have now received 2 separate mailings from them w/ requests for $35 and now they are calling us asking where our pledge is. We never made an actual agreement for any amount & when they call our caller id shows unknown name and unknown number.

My husband & I have decided we will choose our own charitable organizations that we will donate too & if any call us w/ requests, we will tell them we already have our charitable organizations like The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, and The United Way & because they have called us w/ our # being on the national do not call list we especially won't consider donating to them!

Donald McNowski wrote: <quoted text> Why be a jerk? They're trying to make a living, if you're not interested just tell them so and hang up. They're annoying losers that make their living calling people who don't want to talk to them. They think they are entitled to invade people's privacy and annoy them so they can make their tiny commission. "FU loser" is the proper response, just before hanging up

The other alternative is to keep them on the line as long as possible with a feined interest and a fake bad phone connection.
What, WHAT oh yeah, sorry can't hear you speak up. See how loud you can get them to go, they are cretins there for your amusement.
