I saw where Alan mentioned that a family in our neighborhood that spoke against leaving up the grafitti has received death threats. He didn't mention/maybe didn't know that the same family has had their vehicle(s) broken into twice since speaking out. They spoke out because they didn't want their kids subjected to this ugliness in their own otherwise happy neighborhood. Gamble & Littlejohn are the criminal element. Every time I post I feel I have to qualify that my negative feelings toward them are not because they are black, not just because it's true, but moreso because everyone assumes this is a race issue. It's not a race issue. It's a Gamble & Littlejohn are professional victims & scam artists issue.

This incident tells us a great deal about Jesus’ attitude to the sinner. The scribes and Pharisees wanted to entrap Jesus with the religious and civil authorities. The scribes wished to condemn, Jesus wished to forgive and to restore the sinner to health. His challenge involved a choice – either go back to your former way of sin and death or to reach out to the new way of life and happiness with him. Jesus gave her pardon and a new start on life. God’s grace enables us to confront our sin for what it is – unfaithfulness to God, and to turn back to God with a repentant heart and a thankful spirit for God’s mercy and forgiveness.
