Montenegro will be trouble wherever he lands. I cannot believe Arlington hired him as their superintendent. How in the world can Texas boards of trustees be so stupid? The check Montenegro accepted is only a hint of things to come. Arlington ISD would be better off to send him packing and start all over again.

Suggestion to the Arlington school district that hired this crook is to, "FIRE", the bum!
Remember when he proposed the 200 mil bond issue while he was the Duperintendent at YISD in 2006? He maintained, and adamantly refused to admit that this bond issue was a tax in crease!
He sure hoodwinked everybody here, didn't he?
Now he apparently is doing the same there, profiteering using his position to do so! What a jerk low down scum he is!
So the next time school district dupers and staff tell you
"it's for the children", don't trust them, because it's for their pockets!

I believe Dr. Duron did the same (by accepting honorarium) and then donating the money to SISD foundation. Is this against the law?

This is called double-dipping. Regardless, you accept the money and donate to a foundation (for non-profit) then get a tax break! You end up with a personal profit. If Dr. Robert Duron did the same then SISD needs to know and ask the board questions. The same for YISD.

When his sexual misdeeds went down I wrote the Head honcho lady at the TEC and Every single board member to inquire if the rumors were true and prompt an investigation. It was completely covered up. The news refused to report it because they said no one involved would come forward. Ridiculous. How about the scene at Cohen stadium when his wife went off on him and clocked him. When he got caught in the act in his office I heard from sources who were there that he had security remove his wife from the building because she made such a ruckus. This guy got away with a lot and absolutely nothing was done. He was praised by the TEC with awards and anointed by the city officials and the whole time many of us stood in shock and watched him put on a show worth an Oscar. My wife used to tell me when he came to her school he was bowed to like Montezuma. He liked having his aasss kissed and apparently his ddick sucked by his staff. Hector was then and still is an absolute piece of $hitt..

You may think you have the numbers but your people lack the motivation, higher education and moral compass. Even if they had the motivation it would only lead to mass corruption, undermining, backstabbing, under the table deals, and out right crime. El Paso is a prime example of what happens when your people are running the show. Its a circus of corruption, over tax and over spend panderers to another country who have more loyalty to their ethnicity than they do to their citizenship. Oh yes, I know... I'm a racist. Smiley I agree! Montenegro had it easy at YISD until the election of 2007. It took three NEW board members to go in and run him out of El Paso! Idiots like Reyes, Chavez and Duntley let him waste taxpayers monies; example: buying books just because his name was in it, bringing in programs that would help further his career and never being around due to speaking engagements! NO ONE ever questioned him until Mendoza, Montelongo, Riggs and Munoz started asking questions regarding travel, budgets and academic accountability. He's Arlington's problem now! A lesson to current YISD board members don't be lazy like the board that hired Montenegro. Do your homework and investigate, simple as google! YISD can not afford to have another "Hollywood Hector"

why doesn't the FBI look more into the records of YISD when Montenegro was there and Access Healthsource, who is under investigation by the FBI, more closely along with NCED and Physicians Healthcare. DO you really believe there wasn't other reasons Monenegro left EL Paso
