Man, gas prices are getting so expensive that even the gang bangers have resorted to riding bikes.

I live really close where this happen I heard shots , we can never tell when it is a shooting or if it is fire works as both happen a lot in this neighborhood, we never know when a bullet will come flying through our home one day. Police still do not come down this road much and when they are called it takes them up to an hour to show up.
This needs more coverage there is so little told about what happen last night! Fact is this place is getting worse by the day the road is so dark you can't see much unless your right in the action line. When they cleared out peach street where the new dallas cowboy stadium is, all the thugs and drug dealers moved into our neighborhood not that some were not already here but now there are even more and they are fighting over the streets. Not saying this is drug related but gang related is more like it. Arlington needs to beef up police watch in North Arlington in this area gangs are growing right under their noses and the drugs dealers are more bold selling during the day. |

Arlington is the new oak cliff, thugville usa. They are spreading their hate from south dallas westward. Family members of mine have fled and will never go back. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere near arlington any more. I wonder what city leaders are going to do? Will they do nothing out of fear of being called racist?

They wont do anything and still have not done anything. They didn't even questions neighbors last night! I was standing in plain view right next to the crime scene and not one cop came up to me to ask me anything. Who ever it was that did the shooting lived close by for them to be on bikes I don't and can't imagine them going on bike to another city. They dipped into some house close by is what happen.
This was obvious that it was long time coming, and its only going to get worse, cops don't come down this way ever not to patrol. |

I own a house close to this area. Lots of adults riding bikes, especially the criminals selling dope.

It's sad when your scared you might get caught in cross fire just checking your mail. We shouldn't have to live like this. 18 years ago Arlington was not this bad. Living has become so difficult here and it seems the way things are going since they demolished peach street it is only going to keep going down hill till we get some patrol cars out this way at least a few times a night.
We can't even get them to do anything about speeding cars in a residential area so I doubt that they will do anything about the crime. |
99% of the apartment dwellers from Johnson Ave(eliminated)and Peach St.(eliminated)were hispanic. That neighborhood used to be nice. My first apartment in 1978 was off Johnson. I lived there 2 years. The homes were older, but most were OK. The area is now absolutely terrible. Crack addicts, heroin addicts, alcoholics, prostitution, thievery, robberies, burglaries. All of those happen all day, all night, 24 hours a day. Feel free to correct me if I misspoke something. |

I stopped eating at the Sonic off Randol Mill and Cooper because the last few times I had been there the girl taking the order couldn't understand me and I couldn't understand her. The meat market across the street was on the news last summer after it was found abandoned by the owners. They left all the meat in the store with no electricity. The health department, police department, fire department, state and government health officials had to get involved. I have lived in the area for 35 years and I can tell you it is bad.
This area is only one mile from the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. |

Your very correct and I don't know where else to go right now, I have 5 children and do not want to raise them around this but I can't shelter them for ever they have to breath the out doors some time. I just know since I been in Arlington I have not allowed my children to go any where alone only if I am with them can they go some where. I use to live on peach st. hooker's would try climbing in my husbands truck when he would come home he worked the night shift I had to tell them off a few times before they would stop. |

I was told that the meat market your speaking of and I know this is horrible, but I was told the owner of the store cheated on his wife with a cashier lady, his wife then took everything from him he walked away and left everything as it was. This is hear say tho so I don't know how true it is. |

I really love having the mix of mexican culture here in Arlington, they are very hard workers, very sweet people. Teenagers - gangs - drugs all have every race in it. So it isn't just the hispanic - mexican population. Its just some are more noticed than others. The boy was shot by 3 black men why they didn't say so I don't know but it could have just as easily been 3 white men it isn't the race that causes the crime as we are all 1 human race, its crazy selfish people who cause crimes.
I don't care if I am starving I wouldn't steal or kill to survive, there are better and other options available in our city. |

That is true. There are so many articles that are not real news that unfortunatly goes out before the important ones.
