Loud booms last night?

Does anyone happen to know anything about loud booming noises and flashes of light last night? It was around 12-1AM, and I don't think it was thunder.

My son and i started hearing the booms around 10:30 and at around 12:45 we were standing outside and we could still hear them, and see white flashes in the sky, it was not a storm, and it was not fireworks.

These booms and flashes occured over South Arlington near I -20 and 287

I heard and saw the explosions, too. I drove all around 287 I-20 around 1:30 am and didn't see anything. Others said they saw Chan 5 news, then black SUVs drive up, news cameras stopped. cover up

I'm glad I'm not the only one... I called the police last night. I'm at Bowen and I-20... I could see flashes... near the end there was a series of them like fireworks... but I never saw fireworks...It almost sounded like mortar fire...This seems to be the only place I've seen any postings... Nothing on the news and nothing on the internet... STRANGE... I did not find anything concerning "Fireworks in North Texas" last night either... They were very loud. Someone has to know something more...

Others who saw it posted on myfoxdfw. there was some talk of black SUVs in the Big Lots parking lot, a few pics, they said was a ufo crashed on I-20

K I went to that site and also saw pics on twitter - not fallin for that UFO stuff.....and if it was an explosion there'd be sirens - I was listening for them too. This is baffling!

yep, i don't buy the ufo thing, but this was something very strange. it was extremely close to my house. i saw incredibly bright light and sparks high, over the treetops. definitely not fireworks

I have not heard a thing on the News... With that much energy released you would think there was damage. I wonder if it was ordnance disposal or something... It could have been at the Alpine
Firing Range...Not sure but it was intense...but at Midnight???

Where on Fox DFW are those pics? We heard the sounds also. It was very strange, but I can't find any info about it anywhere!

yea, the news blackout only makes me more interested. not a word from them. but the ppl around here all heard and saw it and say the same thing, loud, bright and intense. the booms just kept going off, in a rythym

i have several co-workers who live even closer to the area that I saw the explosions, i will ask them tomorrow what they saw

Its being said that a UFO landed near I-20. There were pics posted of a flatbad hauling off a big UFO like object. A man called 97.9 and everything was said on the radio.

the direction of the explosions and bright flashes was SW of I-20, 287 area. that is near I-20. just don't know about the ufo thing, but the sound and sight of the explosions was very strange. especially the sound
