Arlingtons ridiculous response to this non-story is indicative of of a pathetic, juvenile attitude that helps to make the U.S. the laughingstock of the rest of the western world. Political correctness is as evil and destructive in it's own invidious little way as naziism was in WWII Germany. Those people who shout about their moral righteousness, while decrying the lack of morals in others, promotes the sort of divisiveness that is helping to destroy the country. And in the end, they won't change the minds of the rest of us. Rational minds will never allow these right wing, holier than thou bigots to prevail. It's a sad commentary, as the economy goes down the tubes, the 'war', based on lies, continues to drain our finances and the lives of our young soldiers and in many countries, children are starving and being slaughtered, that these pompous do gooders have nothing better to do than to run about shreing that a woman in a bathing suit is somehow a threat to...to whatever it is they believe she is a threat to. It's time to grow up and mind your own business.

This is simply wrong. The issue of these truly innocuous images, taken in a moment of innocent happiness, and published by relatives of the Mayor who only wanted to help, has embarassed some of the residents of a small town . Their sensitivities have been rallied into sensationalism by a person, or persons unknown, to make issue of what is today, a non-issue. This town's mayor is obviously an alturistic, caring, and homespun Mayor who cares deeply for her community. She has a child and is far too forthright in her dedication to her community to be subjected to such scurrilous, and defamatory false condemnation - by any member of her community, or by media sources which would sensationalize an event of no REAL consequences.
Give Mayor Kontur-Gronquist the space and respect to do her job. She's obviously dedicated to it!
