Agree with the State Legislators, that the Thruway Authority should be dissolved completely, immediately. Put those responsibilities to the NY State DOT, as they can do all that the Thruway does. Make all Thruway toll roads and bridges under complete auspices of NYSDOT, period.
Many top executive level positions in Thruway Authority are given to connected Political operatives and staffers, as payback for their allegiance and employee paid positions that helped the incumbent Governor, or his top handpicked Gov't Agency executives.
The Thruway agency is a duplication of anything that NYSDOT already performs for the rest of the NY state roadways and bridges.
