Worker at third pork plant has mystery illness
Only three U.S. packinghouses have used compressed air to extract brains from pig heads - and now all three have workers who have suffered the same mysterious neurological illness.

Inhaling pig brains, sounds disgusting! If there is a better way of doing this why would any plant spray pig brains everywhere? That has got to be in the top 10 worst jobs to have.

I wonder if there is any connection between the neurologic symptoms after exposure to inhaling pig brains, and the neurologic symptoms experienced after the swine flu vaccines in 1976.
Maybe we weren't intended to have pig parts in our respiratory system or muscles??? I had the swine flu vaccine, and had numbness in my back for several months afterwards. My doctor refused to report it and there was not a public reporting mechanism in place at that time. So the extent of problems from having pig parts in the muscles of most Americans was never really studied. Google swine flu vaccine - you will find some very thought-provoking information. It is time that we all educate ourselves about the public health hazards being created right within our country. And then start saying NO to things that don't add up. |

Very interesting question! I don't know the answer to this, but can you report it? I don't know to who per se, but I'd want to do something if I were in your situation! |

Yes, Mellers, come to think of it, I could report it now. There is now a program called MedWatch (http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/) for direct reporting to the FDA by the public. I will do that now! Thanks for triggering that idea for me.
I am not trying to draw an conclusions or connections by my post, I just think that if people don't ask questions, the correct connections will never be made. I am a clinical research scientist and while we try to ask all the hard questions, there are just things you never think of until something like this happens. Then it is imperative to ask, "could this be similar" and someone should look into it. I will also find out if there is any way to ask my question of the CDC. I don't know if they would take it seriously, but it never hurts to ask. |

I totally understand. Every couple of months I'm doing research about Leukemia, because I know my body and my history better than anyone else, to see if I can find any correlation between the cancer and my past. I'm glad to nudge you in this direction. We all need to take as much control over our medical life as possible (yet we're not doctors, of course!) |
