Yes, Texas is a great State. But NC is getting national recognition also. Since republikans have started taking our state back---to the 18th century, we now have: 1. legalized possum dropping, 2. are arresting hundreds of clerics each week for peacefully assembling and interfering with lobbyist delivering "contributions" to the state legislators. Why, just recently the speaker of the house ,Thom Tillis got $30,000 from pay day lenders to raise interest rates to 30% and add late fees. Don't even mention what the governor gets for signing this law. 3. we have fired over 1200 teachers so that every lawyer in every law firm in NC can have an ADDITIONAL $50,000 tax break. There is much much more, but you see that Texas is not getting ALL the national attention.

. Seems like y'alls Republicans are different from our Texas Republicans. There is a difference between a Republican who is a crook and one who isn't.

The Texas revolution continues. Perry says, compare red state economies to blue state economies. Could it be... He's right?

Folks we are importing less foreign oil. That's a fact. From 2020 to 2025 we will surpass Saudi Arabia as the world's largest supplier of oil. From 2030 on we will be energy independent as our huge supplies of natural gas are brought to bear, and far more energy efficient cars are unleashed upon our roads.

You're right Waco if the anti-fracking crowd doesn't get their way.

Anti-tracking laws would stop any recovery in its tracks. Only the Republican House can save us from insane anti-fracking laws.

Not only is TSF obtuse so is the whole obtusely obtuse country. It takes an obtuse person to know an obtuse person and I'm an obtuse dummy like my Boy George doll is my obtuse sex toy without obtusely being obtuse.I obtusely love little obtuse black boys and I obtusely masturbate to them because I'm obtusely a bipolar obtuse idiot and I like to be obtusely noticed because I'm obtusely smarter than all obtuse people. My obtuse is obtusely obtuse without obtusely saying.

Excellent and informative republikan video. Little did I previously know that the prisons are full of young black men because of democrats. I had been under the impression that they were there because of having committed crimes. I know republikans will correct this injustice and turn them all lose.
Now I do agree with the advertisement in that black people (and all others also) would be stupid to support gun confiscation

Looks like the last republican in NC who wasn't a crook was Jim Holshouser.

Fine. You guys are really screwed now. Bernanke is raising interest rates. Just in time to finish the economy off in 2014 for the off year elections. The dems can say, goodbye White House.

I don't know. If the republikans had presented a viable candidate in 2012, they would have the White House now. Instead they presented vulture capitalist Twitt and proceeded to attack every large group of voters in the most stupid campaign I have ever witnessed. Have they learned anything? Not in NC at least. Republikans here are executing an all out attack on teachers, public education, public workers, the environment, the poor, the disabled, women ,community colleges, Universities, the US constitution, etc. Jobs created? Zero. The only thing they have worked FOR is tax breaks for the rich.

Prove it, the attacks. Not opinion, the actual legislation. Let's see it.

Here's one for you, "Raleigh, N.C. North Carolina lawmakers had a tough choice this spring: Change how unemployment benefits are calculated, potentially cutting off benefits to tens of thousands of people, or allow the state's debt to the federal government to continue as a drag on the economy.

The Tar Heel state was one of many in the same situation, but North Carolina lawmakers were the only ones who chose the quicker fix. Effective July 1, 71,000 people will see their extended benefits end.

During the 1990s, states gradually cut back on the unemployment tax they charged to businesses, explained Duke University economist Aaron Chatterji. When recession hit in 2008, and unemployment claims began to climb, the states lacked the trust fund to pay those benefits. They borrowed from the federal government, and now that bill is coming due.

"Most states have these have this deficits with the federal government," Chatterji said. "They are all dealing with it in different ways. North Carolina is unique in terminating the program so abruptly."

In order to pay down that debt, lawmakers agreed to a plan that reduces state unemployment compensation, eliminates extended benefits and raises employer contributions into the system. Under the plan, the debt owed will be paid off in 2016, three years early. It takes effect June 30.

"We believe it's the right decision," said Sen. Bob Rucho, R-Mecklenburg. "Had we not made these changes to start putting some fiscal sanity back into the system, that fund would not exist for any future people."

Now, NC republikans in Raleigh are trying to put a state tax on grandpa's social security . That is in addition to putting more sales tax on groceries, medicine, doctor visits, car repairs, hair cuts and everything else that people actually need to buy. Don't believe me, check it out for yourself.

The only thing that will derail the Republicans in 2014 is to NOT support an immigration bill. Have you had a chance to examine the new health care law?

The bench gang sits around complaining about socialism while snacking on money from their disability & unemployment benefits. The gang votes for republikan legislators , who then vote to end their disability & unemployment benefits , tax their grandpa's social security ,medicine and doctor visits. But the legislators vote that death penalties based on race is now OK and the gang approves of that , so they give the legislators a pass. NC republikans are a strange breed indeed.

I get so much conflicting information about the affordable health care law that I am still unsure about its effect on me personally. I already have insurance which is expensive but pays when I have a problem. All indications so far show that my premiums will be increasing. I don't know how much at this time.
The republican noise machine seems to agree that the act will add another trillion dollars to the national debt over the next 10 years. The democrat noise machine seems to feel that it actually lowers medical costs overall for the government. I have never actually witnessed medical costs declining, so I am skeptical of the democrats claim. The republican claim seems reasonable in terms of numbers. The question that baffles me is why republikans are so upset about adding one trillion dollars to the national debt over 10 years when just last week they quietly and with no qualms added one trillion dollars to the national debt IN ONE DAY with a massive give away to cane, beet and dairy mega agro-business.
