Fire at ADM in Decatur kills two

Why don't you mention the one exceptional employee who had the sense to save all the employees, and would have saved the last 2 if the firemen wouldn't have held him back? He knew exactly where these two men would have been and could have saved them, but the fire dept took 45 minutes to get to them. This outstanding employee knew where they would have been and was willing to risk his life to save theirs. Why is HE not given any credit in all of this? He IS your true, loyal, trustworthy employee of all times. HE deserves (over and above usual) special recognition. He IS the hero, even though he doesn't think he is, because he wasn't allowed to go in to get the last two who died - he was HELD BACK AGAINST THE WALL BY FIREMEN SO HE COULDN'T GO IN - and the firemen couldn't find them until 45 minutes later - thus, costing their lives. This unique employee doesn't feel like a hero - he feels like he failed because 2 people died. He's that humble and honorable. Shouldn't someone be saying something about HIM?????

This loyal employee I talked about above also went back in to the computers and shut down the systems to keep the area contaminated closed off so it wouldn't spread to the other areas so the plant could still continue its operation normally all other places. Isn't that worth commenting on???? Someone owes this guy - I'd like to see some kind of special recognition given to him for his great loyalty, quick reaction and response to a panic situation, and the people that he drug out of the building himself, before any firefighters were there, and saved their lives, giving CPR, oxygen, whatever was needed, to save them. Then he kept going in to get more people out. I think someone needs to be congratulating him on his fine work, quick response, and someone should say something to the fire department about the fact that those two people died because they wouldn't let the employee go in with them to show them where they were at - he knew exactly where they would be - and the firemen refused and used force to stop him from going in when he had an oxygen tank on and had been saving all the other 18 lives of employees... He KNEW where they were - the firemen didn't. Thus, it took the firemen 45 minutes to get to them, when this individual could have directed the firemen right to them by going in with them and the two that died might still be alive. Why does no one want to point that out???? Yes, I KNOW who it is - I'm very close friends with him - and he deserves recognition for his life saving actions. All this happened after he just lost his wife to cancer a month ago - could you ask for any more loyalty to saving lives of his co-workers? I don't think so - give him his recognition for being one of your best employees there!!!!!!!!! Managers were not responding - those he trained to respond accordingly in this type of situations - and he was saving THEM! Give him the recognition he rightfully deserves!

His name is MARK DOYLE!!!! He's been there almost 30 years and lost 2 good friends, because he couldn't go back in with the firemen to save them. Give him special recognition!!! HE DESERVES IT!

And I'm not from Vandalia - I'm from Edgewood - about 30 miles south of Effingham. I'm proud of Mark - he's a great friend and a super employee!!

I work in ADM as a contractor, and know Mark myself. He is one of the greatest formans you could ever meet and that is bull that nobody can stand up and sayanything and or tell who the real hero is. I think just like Wanda sombody needs to tell who the real hero is.
