This news article begs so many obvious questions, I don't know where to begin.

Well Skeptic Al, I will ask one of the obvious questions.....What was the reasoning for letting him get behind the wheel after being charged with driving with a suspended license??

What the heck is wrong with this picture?? Or should i say. what the heck is right with it... why wasnt he arrested when he was nabbed the first time? If he was how in the hell, did he get out and get behind the wheel a second time? Too many questions that are unanswered..

Right, what the heck went wrong. Why was he not held till sober? Who let him out. Who let him get back in the car? I think the police have alot of questions to answer. I believe its on the head for the accident!

I believe its on the head for the accident! I agree. I thought there was a mandatory holding time when someone is arrested for DUI. I need a new job, hire me to make these decisions and this crap won't happen again. Maybe it is the proximity to 3 mile island, but a lot of folks in this area are just whacked out. May God have mercy on my soul and let me move back South.

He was 19..why was he not charged with underage drinking, DUI, Driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance etc and why was he released in such a short time to get nabbed 5 hours later. Should he not have been held? Should he not have been released to someones care who would take and be responsible for him? This is sooo sooo wrong. Can you imagine the law suite if he would have injured someone? Guessing it was a car that he hit and ran from but...Someone better be paying for the persons car he hit and it should NOT be that persons car that got hit's insurance either or if it was property damage, someone (other than the property owners insurance) better be paying for it cause that person that did it sure isn't going to. Sad! Sad! Sad!

how is this even legal? pretty sure last time I checked the LEGAL drinking age was 21 years old. he could have seriously hurt or killed someone. why he wasn't arrested the frist time blows my mind. hope that officer gets reprimanded or something.

If you have no clue what your talking about then zip it.. PA Law states that if the subject charged with DUI is a resident of PA then he need not be arraigned and may be released whre the case would proceed by summons(1st or 2nd offense). Also, DUI is driving under the influence (not necessarily alcohol) so the posts about underage drinking are mute point. I didnt see alcohol mentioned in the article anywhere.

He huffed that air duster used to clean computers. But what i dont understand is this has been happening lately with alot of people using this duster & blacking out. I dont know why the duster company makes these cans in little travel sizes making it easier people to hide it. I also walked into walmart today and found that they have there shelves stocked with this duster in two places i believe somethig sould be done to make this duster harder to get.

Ok......."in the know".....that's all well and good, BUT, why was this guy allowed to leave the scene of the first incident....having a suspended license, not to mention the fact that he passed out after he was stopped??? What's the law regarding that "Mr Lawyer"? It appears to me that if his car would have been impounded for driving with a suspended license and he was forced to walk home...the second incident would have never happened and worse case scenario, he would have been hit by a car and killed....removing yet one more piece of trash from society. A "Win Win" situation for everyone but the criminal here...... is that so bad? Of course it is because the criminals have more rights then the law abiding citizens and it has been this way for as far back as I can remember. This is why criminals DO WHAT THEY DO!! They know they can get away with it. In the know wrote: If you have no clue what your talking about then zip it.. What next - You hit it right on. But the saddest part, the "victim" is going to turn out to be the criminal that was released. He will turn this around and be the one with all the rights. This wouldn't have happened if they would have arrested him on the spot so now he's got a free ride when he throws it all back on the officer that didn't do his job correctly. The courts will lose sight that he was the one wrong. He will sue for sure and be out there doing it again shortly!

Should Be

I hope the officier that pulled him over the first time and let him slide is being put on suspention w/o pay. If he can't make decisions to protect and serve the public then he should not be in that position !!!! Suppose the 19 year old hit someone and killed them, and it happened to your family member. We would all want that officiers badge !!!!! All I can say is he must be related to that first officier. G-Burg State Police how about some answer's!!!!!

The Trooper did nothing wrong. He released the guy to a family member after the 1st arrest as he is allowed to do. The guy was then taken home in the vehicle he had been driving by the family member. He then took the vehicle back out on the road again and struck another vehicle. How is the Trooper at fault? Give me a break! Let's concern ourselves more with getting the drugs out of our society today.
