I think this rule should be implemented into the high school level, there is no reason kids shouldnt be taking the bus, when the parents pay schools taxed what do they think they are paying for. Not to mention the traffic jams that happen once school is in session. I have to go through spring grove and boy what a difference it is now that school is out its hard to believe that it causes that many problems, but really they should not have high schoolers driving to school it just a waste..

Obviously KAC had everything paid for by his/her parents when he/she was in high school. Some of us had to drive straight to work after school to pay for college and the like.

No cars for Freshmen has been a rule at most colleges since...well, since I was in college, and that was in the 70's.(When did I get so old?) The shuttle is a great idea, and the appeals process for those who need to drive to a job is reasonable. How about a bike?? You guys get so little snow in the winter, a bike could be useful on most days.(not to mention it's good for ya!!)

Hummmm how about a bike????? my daughter lives 25 miles away, I expected more from a new yorker,Those who need to drive to a job....what about the ones that want to get a better education that dont live 5 miles from the school. Maybe you are old, i dont know.

I am SURE that commuters will be allowed to drive to school, of course. I am assuming that the ban is on students who live on campus.(Again, that's common practice.) If not, that's a whole other question. And, no I am not "old"....not sure what that has to do with it anyway. And, what does living in NY have to do with this??? I have been to your area MANY times in the winter, and, for the most part, riding a bike a small distance would be perfectly sensible on most days. Sure, it's cold, but seldom much snow. Obviously, 25 miles is too far, and your daughter should be allowed to drive. There, are you happy now??
