Man who shook infant son found guilty

A former Littlestown man faces at least five years in prison after an Adams County jury found him guilty Friday of shaking his infant son.

Humans should be forced to take a test BEFORE they reproduce,,,Way too many bad parents out there. Babies dont come with manuals,,,most of it is common sense, and lots of love.. 5 years is not nearly long enough. Too many children dont deserve the treatment they are getting.

Well, it does say up to 20 years and up to 5 years. Let's pray he gets the 25 yrs (and that Bubba finds out what he's in there for) and then he needs sterlized! Not to mention no rights to those precious little boys again. What a mother too - sterlize her as well! What a pathetic excuse she is obviously if those boys are in foster care! If anyone harmed my babies, I'd be the one pleading insanity because they wouldn't be around to face trial!

Even though there are alot of "bad" people in jail,aot of those people don't like child molestors or abusers. He'll get what he deserves Im sure!!!

I'm sure this will make me very unpopular, but I know that he didn't do it.

The child in question had been going to the doctor every week since he was born because of problems he'd been having.

Mr. Wantz is not a violent person and is one of the most patient people I've met.

It's also a bit odd that his wife could barely wait to get out of the house that evening and practically ran out as soon as he came home. Sounds like reasonable doubt to me.

It's also strange that a lot of evidence that would show that he was not guilty was denied admission to the trial. Hmmm - looking for a scapegoat?

i gotta smile at your response...they inside do take care of what they like and don't like, without the eyes of those of us outside looking in. there is category behind bars (clicks) and those are folks who, um, don't give a sh1t. no boo-hooing either, no one likes a crybaby.

I hope that the short time this bananna is in the slammer, a gorills grabs him an shakes his eye-balls loose. I read that gorillas do not like child abusers. And after his "vacation" force him to spend 1,000 hrs in an ER just to see all the abused kids that are carried thru those doors. He makes me sick to my stomach!!!!

This is why I'm going to school to become a social worker. To help kids like Jacob out. People like that should get life, not 5 years. Another innocent victim to bad parenting. God bless the little one, and I'm going pray for the baby, the family and the man who's getting 5 years. Dude got his break from the system, but lets see how KIND god's gonna take it on him. But then again I know jail is not going to be so kind to him either.
