Well after a weekend of showing off all of their fancy gear and equipment I think it is pretty pathetic that both photos in this article clearly show a lack of safety concern and the fact that some volunteers don't utilize the gear that is so "precious" to them. Both ladies in this article are in short sleeves or sleeveless shirts, no helmets, no gloves, no eye protection.....amazing....they must really not need all that fancy gear. And the fire chief being quoted as saying they smelled a burning chemical smell like sulpher.....what kind of chief lets his people get into situations where there people can actually smell burning chemicals.....where are your thousands of dollars worth of air tanks??? They must of done a decent job cause they kept it from burning down the Valley but at the expense of their own health and safety!?!?......pathetic
