rabbee: people cannot understand, why you should not standardize either cholesterol, calcium or other vitamins and minerals. the requirements from childhood to adult are not fixed. as well as for each individual, can be different. too much vitamins and minerals can be just as, dangerous or more dangerous as too little.
even vitamin c, can cause death. even with it being difficult to overdose, on vitamin c because of it's high solubility. several health nuts in the past, have died by overdosing on vitamin c. too much vitamin a and b, is also even more deadly. due to a lower solubility index. too many vitamins and minerals, can also ruin your health.

I have seen an heard too many people heal through nutritional supplements, this leads me to believe that Americans in general are deprived.

First off, do those people eat healthy? Or are they compensating for their sht diets?

Second, show me clinical trials. Save the testimony for church.

I did mention a few posts ago my wariness about excessive supplementation. It seems like many packaged foods supplement, and when you eat a few of the different foods a day, you are exceeding the idealized intakes.
Fact is, eating real food will go along way without needing a lot of supplementation.
rabbee: well vitamins and minerals, that are stored in the body should be of the biggest concern. needless to say, i am not a believer in one a day type of minimum daily requirement vitamins. except possibly for people, on severe diets.

and i am usually on, a sea food diet. i see food, i eat it. so i am usually more cautious, about what i buy. but once a month, i might indulge in a pizza. and curse mcdonalds for making such, good french/belgian fries.

i remember it was about 30 years ago, a bread manufacture dump too much thiamine, and riboflavin in a batch of bread dough. and killed, quite a few people. one slice was like, a 100 times the minimum daily dose.

Or adding baking soda to one's glass of water.
I have been reading about alkalinized water. Apparently people are confusing alkaline water WITH water with alkalinity. Not that I am sure of the difference. If I understand it correctly, alkaline water is negated in the stomach due to buffering mechanisms, while water with alkalinity survives the stomach and alkalinizes the urine?
rabbee: well actually i recommended putting it in the salt. so that it is introduced into the food, before ingestion - especially prior, to any cooking. in order to help reduce the oxalic acid, before ingestion. and please keep in mind that sodium, or potassium acid oxalates, are more toxic than calcium oxalate. though i am not sure of the toxicity, of carbo-oxalates.

high concentrations oxalic acid is, extremely hard on the liver and kidneys. which is found in ethylene glycol ingestion, which is converted to pure oxalic acid. always resulting in death, without immediate treatment.

the idea is to try and neutralize the oxalic acid, before it hit the high concentration of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. since oxalic acid, is stronger acid than hydrochloric acid - and is thus not affected by it.

rabbee: so? i have personally seen far more people healed by G-D, than by nutritional supplements. i do not personally know of anyone, healed by nutritional supplements. i have only heard rumors, of this. i think too many people in the united states, are being deprived of the truth of G-D. in fact i do not believe any one, can be healed without approval from G-D. i have seen dead people come back to life, because G-D had previously said it so. even with the law of the copperhead, it still take G-D to say so.

Another affordable health care act success!

see below;
I have a "catastrophic" plan with a $10K
deductible through BCBS of North Carolina. It
costs me $189/month. All of my preventative
care is covered at no additional cost to me
with $10 generic scrips. When I go on the
BCBS website it shows what my new policy
will be on January 1, 2014 and the prices is
almost 3 times what I'm now paying!!! Of
course, I cannot get through to BCBS and
forget about trying to access healthcare.gov .
I'm thinking that I will qualify for subsidies
but who knows if things will even get that
far. Fortunately I am pretty healthy but not
having health insurance has always seemed
kinda scary to me. One of the perks of being
in the corporate world was having health
coverage and not sure what things will look
like going forward.

There is a Christian scientist church here that has weekly testimonies of healing through prayer.
The healer has a sister that was healed of polio.

SAN DIEGO--( BUSINESS WIRE)--
Youngevity® Essential Life Sciences, a
wholly-owned subsidiary of AL
International , Inc.(OTC Pink: JCOF),
announces that the research of
Youngevity® founder, Dr. Joel D. Wallach,
BS, DVM, ND , on Selenium continues to be
at the forefront of health and prevention
with the recent U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) proposed rule
requiring the addition of selenium to the
list of required nutrients for infant formula
products.
Dr. Joel Wallach has been at the front line
of Selenium research for nearly 40 years.
Selenium is an essential trace mineral that
serves many functions in human
physiology, including the synthesis of
antioxidants (natural substances that
neutralize free radical damage), and
thyroid and immune function. In 2003,
along with Youngevity®, Dr. Wallach
successfully petitioned the FDA to
establish a Qualified Health Claim for
selenium adding that it “may reduce the
risk of certain cancers” to labels of dietary
supplements containing Selenium.
Dr. Wallach was also the recipient of the
Klaus Schwarz Medal in 2011 for his
observation done as a researcher at the
Yerkes Primate Research Center in Atlanta,
Georgia in 1978. Dr. Wallach discovered
pancreatic lesions in selenium deficient
monkeys identical to those found in human
patients discovering the link between
selenium deficiencies and some forms of
cystic fibrosis; making some forms of
cystic fibrosis preventable in humans.

Thats SO old news.

Those who have catastrophic plans that do not meet the new federal guidelines are being dropped right and left.

Instead, people are now eligible for the exchanges, which are often higher priced BECAUSE they receive better coverage (i.e. coverage that meets the standards of the ACA)

It can be argued that people shouldnt be forced to purchase this new health care (which was the basis behind the recent Supreme Court case), but the fact is, that at least they are getting MORE product for their money.
