Good thing we are kept in formed of these issues. But I wonder why doesn't state police patrol the Columbus area more instead of Deming. I believe the Columbus area needs more support form our local law enforcement, I.C.E. has their own things to worry about. Is it fear from State Police only they can answer that.

And we are informed of what? This entire article was nothing more than public appeasement to comfort old ladies and those few who buy the Headlight thinking that at least half of what they read might be true.

"There is a multi-agency response contingency plan," Rick Moody, agent-in-charge of the Deming Boarder Patrol Station, said of securing U.S communities.''

Yes this is very comforting, especially coming from Rick. Contingency plan for what? And when would this plan be implemented? On the following Monday three days after Columbus has been burned to the ground? That was certainly Moody's time frame for this latest Turkey shoot. Moody has no plan, never has, other than to fill his pockets with taxpayer's dollars while spewing his party line of propaganda.

"The purpose is, again, to make sure our borders are safe, that our communities are safe," he said.
Moody restates this line at least three times throughout the article. It's his message to the public that he is going to keep them safe. Safe from what Rick? Safe from crimes that are taking place in another Country? Well that's not too big a task. Or is he talking about perhaps stopping a team of Cartel hitmen from entering a home in Columbus, and completing their mission by whacking a target that had fled Mexico to this prearranged safe house? I suppose he's going to do this just as he has for years, and years ''stopped'' the steady stream of guided Illegal Aliens being smuggled into the same houses? Oh I feel safer already! And in the few instances where his merry men have actually caught someone, he has seen to it that the person is quickly released, so they can continue on to Klamath Falls Oregon, rape and murder two Nuns. Richard Moody and his band of merry men have a long and sordid history of how much they care for, and how safe they have kept us. I'm not sure just how much more of this safe keeping we can all live through.....

Happy Trails, enlighten us with the details of the murder of these nuns in Oregon. Never read about it in the Deming Headlight. Was there actually some connection with Deming Border Patrol under the command of Richard Moody or is this nothing but gossip.

No gossip Dusty. As yourself I not recall seeing the story in the Deming Headlight, perhaps the rag did cover it but if they did I missed it along with yourself. There has been so many sickening events under the Moody ''watch'' that it's hard for me to quote exact times and dates, but I'll try to come close with the info you have requested:
Silerio Esparza, aka Victor Manuel Batres Martinez and a host of other assumed names was a documented criminal alien at the time of his arrest and release there in Columbus by Moody's merry men. I cannot recall of the details but I believe the year was 2002. In actuality the Border Patrol caught him at least twice within the time span of only a day or two that year and released him both times. After his last release by Moody he wasn't saw again until one early evening up in Oregon where he beat and raped the two Nuns, killing one of them by strangling her with her Rosary Beads. All of the documentation for Moody and his merry men to have kept this person under lock and key was at hand for them via the data base and finger print system they enjoy, had they simple have not been in a rush to switch shifts or whatever the case might have been. The event may have not made the news here in this controlled news media, but it certainly made the news everywhere else.
The wide spread news coverage earned Moody a few months time ''shelved'' shuffling papers over at ELPS, until the Border Patrol figured the press heat had cooled down enough, as is my understanding anyway. I'm certain that should you seek Moody's or the overall Border Patrol assessment of this event ,that they could come up with a short list of 'medicating' circumstances as to how it was the 'systems fault', and that they themselves share no blame....but that of course would be a lie. Moody himself is a masterful liar, although he has trouble controlling his left ear twitch when it's a big lie. He also has a problem when attempting to make eye contact, his eyes will not focus correctly :) A conversation with the person is more like it would be having a meeting with Donald Duck or Goofy.... after Walt had informed them they were just fictional characters, simply Daffy!
Well Dusty I gave you my best recall of the event, and I'm pretty sure it's close to the actual event happenings. If you need more the DA up there in K-Falls could probably help you.

The illegal immigration problem and flow of drugs into New Mexico is outrageous. The border patrol are equally problematic hassling normal citizens. We have a huge problem, the government of the US is failing in their endeavors something must be done.

TUCSON, Arizona - U.S. officials were shocked that a Mexican judge had freed a man imprisoned in connection with the death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said Wednesday.

Jesus Navarro Montes was arrested Jan. 22 in northern Mexico in the killing of Agent Luis Aguilar and had also been held over for trial there on migrant-smuggling charges. The circumstances of his recent release from a Mexicali prison couldn't be determined Wednesday.

Hey all you BP haters... I'm offended by some of the things you say about the BP but starting in on the subject isn't going to change anything so I will not try, I want to simply say a thing or two to you all. Lighten up on the BP, they are not all bad. Honest. Also, you might be glad to know that your favorite fellow, Moody, or so it is told, will not be around much longer to bother you all. Thought you might like to know that.
