Their operation in Arenas Valley is the only restaurant I know of that had been shut down for filth by the food inspectors. Let's see if they can keep this cleaner. And moderators - its in the public record so no need to consider this comment slander.

yeah its the same couple that owns Snappy Marts. THey moved here back in 2005 from New York City I think, they have that attitude that is for sure. They think they are better than eveyrone else and both him and her walk around town like they have a corn cob up their ass. Forget getting a good deal on those steaks..bring your wallet you will really need it in this place. The steaks are not even that good but what is in Silver City.

Just another dive that feeds off the backs and pocket books of addicted people. I know, I know, people can choose not to go to places like this, but a addict/alcoholic are not mentally capable of making such decisions. These people should be happy with money-making windfall they have by feeding off the addicts from their local Snappy Mart(s). I have to giggle when I go into a Snappy Mart and on the counter is a warning sign about consequences of issuing a bad check, and the threatened wrath of the DA's office, and to my left are "singles to go" which to me promotes DUI. Last thing in the world this county needed, was another bar.

I certain you are wrong about when Jim and Debbie moved here. Jim was with Furr's Supermarket (now Food Basket) here before it closed. He may have also worked with Safeway Stores when it was at the same location. I believe Jim and Debbie moved here from Texas, but not certain.

This couple has been very civic minded since starting their businesses here. We are very fortunate to have them in our community.

BTW, Jim and Debbie had a liquor license when Wrangler's was located in Arena Valley. They just simply moved the restaurant to the Beverage Co. location, where a liquor license was already in place.

Think about the investment they have made in Silver City and Grant County. They own and operate Snappy Marts in Silver City, Arenas Valley, and the Mining District communities; they own the Food Basket grocery stores in Silver and Bayard; and the Beverage Company and Wrangler's Restaurant on Highway 180 East in Silver City. They surely must employ more than 100 residents in this area.

No one forces any of you to patronize their businesses, so back off and mind your business. Most of you really don't have a clue what you are saying, you just like to bitch and complain about anything and anybody. Get a life.

Hey, In a town with 39 bad Mexican restaurants
Wranglers is a blessing. The staff is friendly and the food is good.

Friendly staff, the food is OK, kinda hoped they would put fresh peanuts in the little buckets when they moved but guess you can't have everything.

If you can think back- the Nennich family are the ones who feed hundreds a Thanksgiving dinner that otherwise would have had none.

At the beginning of school they provided a couple hundred backpacks filled with school supplies.

They are truly what small towns are all about. They give back to the community.

Why is it that every article on the Nennich's fails to mention that they also own all the Fina and Valero gas stations in Grant County ? They are directly responsible for Silver City having the highest gasoline prices in New Mexico. Oh yeah, they give back to the community, all right, after shafting us at the pump !
