Look at my business, Romero said, "it's full. Everything is normal.(What happened yesterday) are accidents between those type of people."

Humm...persons riddled with bullets weekly in Palomas in broad daylight and Romero here calls the killings '' accidents''?? It is quite apparent that Romero's concern and spin has more to do with the American tourist dollar than anything resembling the truth. I also have to wonder that if everything thing is so peaceful in Palomas..why is it that Romero lives in the U.S.?!

I feel bad for all this people killing each other, I used to live in Palomas and Columbus and people hate each other. Drugs are out of control not only in Palomas, but in the world.

I was just browsing because me friend is actually mr romeros son and told me take a look. Now I don't know much about those deaths being accidents but i know the romeros live and have lived for the past 12 years in the US for their childrens education. There have been numerous times that this had been brought up in my presence when i am at their home. Plus ive also heard the town was verry much a quite one up until a year or two ago. And those people being killed are in a buiss in which those risk are part of. I guess if u are part of that u def should not step foot in that town harman. And as to the killing on the dentist that straight bullshit along with 90% of the rumors that run in ur middle of nowhere city!! I went down with peter just a week ago and my friend commented on the fact that someone had they had butchered dr fierro well let me tell u they put him back together allright lol he was running and i don't know any dead people that run that fast haha. If you go make sure u dont go wonder around plus the military took over and they have more cops and the shooting stopped, i guessing thats because they killed everyone they had too haha and good for them those people ruin others lives, im not one to decide who lives or dies but they dont do much good alive! next time u want to talk shit harman make sure u research the whole 360 not just what u hear!

We have unfortunatley had a series of shootings . The last one about the first week of March I believe I didn't exactly write it down. It seems that every so many years we have seen a power struggle between the different groups wanting to control the trade. Ironic as it sounds they have been very polite to target the specifc person of choice. We have been very fortunate that to this date not one inoccent person has been hurt. The media sells bad news not good news. The media has had a ball. While I feel safe from the bullets its the gossiip that I know for a fact is even more deadly. If I the mother of four children didnt feel safe, I wouldn't be there. I would and I give you my word stand with my staff in the U.S. parking lot with signs warning all of our friends and visitors. I personlly have answered countless calls inquiring about Dr. Fierro, his son and even my own funeral. Dr. Fierro his family, and I are well. Things are quieter than usual but our loyal friends and customers are coming. They're coming to see for themselves. Theyre coming because they've decided to continue to live their lives. We cannot live in fear. Oh well life goes on. Crime and horrible things happen every second everywhere. Palomas has been targeted by gossip oh well whats new were a small town. I personally respect everyones opinion.

Sounds like your losing business and want everyone to think that they are safe so they can spend money at your store. My question is: If I go to Polomas and get shot, can my family hold you and your store responsible? You can say things like that because you and your government don't have to take responsibility for your actions or comments. I have been to your store and restuarant and believe you have a good product, but its not worth risking my life or that of my children. Until I know that it is safe and I believe that will be along time, I will stay on this side of the border.

What a note...and almost decipherable. Dear young person and stated friend of the Remeros, you have a smart mouth on you, and I suggest you work on cleaning it up or next time I'll not be so polite with you.

Greetings Ivonne,

Yes, I know you. I also know that you are a Mexican, and a proud one too boot. How did you take that...as a complement or as bigoted slander? That my dear is a question which only you yourself hold, and please remember the truth will indeed set you free. I saw the truth in your eyes years ago when we first met, despite the battle you have within trying to mask it. Oh for your eyes to have held that of your sister's..... at peace within she is.

Ivonne your words here ring hollow, a masking of your true knowledge of Palomas and of the rampant and wanton Narcotics Trade which is, and has been harbored there for so long. A trade which has destroyed so many lives, so that others may dine and dance with the proceeds. Not since the Nazi Death Camps has it been ''ok'' to ''not know'' and to not speak about such death and destruction such as these Illegal Narcotics reek upon society. It's not ''ok'' for you to pretend that your knowledge of the drug trade and of the wanton killings in Palomas is so slim, as the picture you wish to paint here. In fact Ivonne you have let slip in your writing here just how much more knowledgeable you are concerning the subject, perhaps without even knowing?

The time Ivonne is upon you to decide which side you stand on. Pick one.

Reading this string it appears that Ole Harman has stirred up the raft of a friend of the Romeros. One thing for certain after reading your gibberish, with friends such as yourself the Romeros need no enemies.
Mr.? Harman I believe is right on track with his thoughts, and clearly after having read Ivonne's note she as her husband has, is trying to play down the latest killing spree in Palomas. She even falsely states that there has been no innocent victims killed in Palomas, when she certainly does, or should know better.

Last time I went to the Pink Store, I found a chewed up straw in my tortilla chips (dumping shit together) and they started substituting some type of rotgut in place of tequila in their Margaritas, I had had a few so they seemed to start pulling the old switcheroo on me. I havedn't been back and I really have no reason to go to Palomas anymore.

That's one of the reasons it's locally known as the ''Pinky Kinky''. Just one though. I have a hunch the business was going to slide and fade away with or without the rampant killing taking place down there. The food has never been real good, and the last time I ordered a T-Bone steak dinner and got the bone but no meat was the end of my doing business there. As your note attests word gets around, and the days of splendor for the Romeros and the PK are pretty much numbered, if they don't change their ways. Perhaps they can strike up a deal with the new sheriff in town, the Sinaloa Cartel and cater to them. Gosh knows they have the money to maintain the Romero's lifestyle.

"Ironic as it sounds they have been very polite to target the specific person of choice"...

i.e. public executions are now "hip" in Palomas, surrounded with being so nice to "whack" only the bad guys right out on the city streets in broad daylight and this fact gathers the public support of the business person(s) over "there"...hummm second thought...that may be the only real solution down there right now since there are no police.

"We have been very fortunate that to this date not one inoccent person has been hurt"...

i.e. explain that to the children of Javier Otero (For those who don't know he was one of the first deceased bad guy's shot to doll rags).

I got an idea Ms. Romero, with all you know and see day to day, I dare you to compile a list of all the persons you witnessed in Mexico dealing dope, running human slaves across our border, pandering to prostitutes, INCLUDING the politicians and police from "Both" sides of the border and publish that.

The cancer is there waiting to be cut out of "Both" of our worlds, few... have the courage to confront them... or like you and your family, have had the front seat over the years having first hand knowledge of them and who they are.

Tell you what, to make it safe and easy, start with the City of Columbus, then on to the Luna County Sheriff's Office. They can not touch you in Mexico if you snitch them off.

Everyone knows with any common sense that it takes people in power to make things continue to last as long as these troubing issues have been around. And smuggling in this area has been around for years....right Ivonne?

HA! I like your name for signing on!

Makes me feel all warm inside ...

And Palomas could be a better town, Columbus too... if they could get a grip on what the smuggling is really doing to so many people...

Too bad noone thinks past the 4th grade down there...
