Apparently Joe Farrington's vision of Selma's was a biker bar. Do the Kurtz's plan on following through with that?

Joe Farrington did not want Selma's to be a 'Biker Bar'. he wanted it to be a family place for everyone. The new owners probably want the same thing and I'm sure it will be very nice. Those crazy city council people in Afton just need to work WITH people instead of AGAINST them all the time. Most of them sound ignorant, difficult and uneducated on city planning issues. They do not seem to see the GREATER good for everyone in afton, including what is good for their tax base too. But I'm sure that will get better in time. They have too many lawyers after them not to improve. Bottom line...my kids can not wait to drive in to Afton and get ice cream at Selma's again! I'm sure the new Selma's will be great!

The return of this Icon is good news. Even though it brings thru-traffic to a standstill at times, I can't imagine Afton without Selma's.

I am waiting for Selmas to open too. have not heard of any news other than it is still going to open soon. I think calling the city of Afton to get an update is what I'll do. that way they will realize how much we want Selma's back too! We're so excited to bring our kids down for ice cream again! We love Afton

My grandparents had a cabin on the river. It was a very modest place, built just after the depression I believe. Anyway, Grandma used to take me to Selma's for a cone every now and again. Very fond memories...

Selmas is going to be reopening very soon and it is not going to be a bikers bar. It is going to stay ice cream and also down the road will be a resturant add to it.

I know the new owners very well and they will strive to make it a very family oriented environment while keeping the Selma's atmosphere while adding a twist of their own! It will by no means be a biker bar!
