When he gets here, someone should sing a Roy Orbison song to him..."It's Over".

It is painful to watch a once great American Like McCain stoop to attack politics, I guess that's all he has after adopting the Bush Campaign style of swift boat slash and burn method versus his old straight talk style. He should slither off to a nice retirement in Arizona and search for ways to make amends to America for his conversion into a slimeball that would do anything to win.

Have you criticized the Democrats campaign of lies and slime? Why not? Because you are a Democrat?

Look up electoral history, dipsh*t - how many candidates have closed gaps this large (and growing) in the last 4 weeks, esp when many states have already begun early voting?
Several actually, all Republicans. Bush never showed up as a leader in either election. I don't think Reagan in 1980 ever led in the polls and the last polls were dead even. Bush 1988 was behind most of the election.

I prefer to monitor the betting lines which currently have Obama as 2:1 odds. Definitely not in the bag with four weeks left to go.

Where's my old McCain? This one has turned nasty. It demeans him to have his campaign turn so negative.

John McCain himself is again under attack by the swift boat assassins, as he was in 2000. He denounced those tactics against John Kerry in 2004.
I don't know what slash and burn method you're referring to because
your hyperbole of "slithering in slime" is meaningless.
Sounds like you were watching mud wrestling, not listening to the candidates. Remembering back to Nixon-Kennedy, this is not the nastiest campaign ever. That's because McCain and Obama are honorable men- although the same can't be said for some of their followers. The only "slimeball"
here is not the still great American,
John McCain, it is his assassin- you.

I'm sure there will be plenty of openings to see him. He's not bringing his campaign's trophy piece to speak her gibberish, so most of the people that are all googly over her "folksy" way of speaking and complete lack of anything substantial to say probably won't show up anyhow.

Bush never showed up as a leader because he never was "elected" he was appointed by all those "honest" judges that supposedly recounted the votes.
I hope you don't lose to much on the betting lines your going to need it to help bail-out your buddies in Washington.

Nobody believes your tripe that you were ever 'on the fence'. When are you leftwing morons going to learn that this dishonest tactic doesn't work?
My dearest CyBear, I truly have an open mind and was excited when McCain was selected as the Republican candidate. I was interested in the Obama hype but wanted to see where they stood on the issues before I made up my mind. I've done a lot of research the past few months and have decided to support Obama. I will change my user name if it offends you. Many would be amused to know that I am being called "leftwing". Thanks for the chuckle!

Everyone and everything offends Cybear. If he doesn't agree with it, he attacks it. I've heard a number of people (who vote left and right) who respected McCain of 2000 but have seen changes in McCain that has given them reason to consider their voting choice. One's right to vote, to me, means a lot, something that's not taken lightly, so I appreciate your retrospective thoughts to who you're voting for.

By the way, just to warn you, Cybear will most likely attack this post too, because for some reason, he can't help but attack me. How sad his life must be if his elementary school bully tactics are the only thing he gets satisfaction from.

Bull. McCain has always played the political game hard. There have been no changes in his playbook. If indeed you are telling the truth, something I doubt, they are lying to you.

You really got me yesterday for going after Palin for your hypocritical slurs yesterday. You are going to pay.

LOL. How sad your life must be that you are threatened by a successful conservative woman and must attack her on a personal level like you did.
I'm shaking in my shoes. You really ARE an elementary school bully, aren't you?

Both Bush 41 & 43 and Reagan lead in October polls or from the conventions forward in every election.

In fact every candidate who has lead in the pools on the second Tuesday in October became the winner since at least 1972.

Dukakis did lead on Oct 1 but by Oct 14 his lead was gone.

Don't worry. Cybear isn't concerned about the facts but about harshly attacking other posters. But I thank you for this post-it was eye-opening for me!

I should have qualified the Bush statements, "outside the margin of error". Otherwise the large majority of the Bush/Kerry were inside the margin.

I don't see any link for the Bush-Gore data.

McCain is going to win in November, and here's why: The United States is still waaaaaaaaay too racist in general to elect a black president. And the biggest closet racists out there are liberals.

Therefore, right up until the votes are tallied, it's going to look like an Obama/Biden win. But when the dust settles, it's going to be McCain/Palin, and I'm guessing the margin will surprise everyone.

'Cuz all those closet racist liberals are going to say one thing in front of the pollsters, the TV cameras, and the cadre of peers they want to impress with their virtuous lack of prejudice. But when they slide the curtains closed behind them and they're alone in the booth ... they're gonna vote the other way.

Mark my words.

Kerry won in '04 according to all of the exit polls.

Oops...guess not. The people polled lied to the pollsters. Imagine that.
