Things are really going downhill here. This stuff only used to happen in the very bad section of Mpls. and at late night hours. I haven't been to Hopkins but I assume it is a regular suburb? This is what the affordable housing proponents are bringing into our safe towns.
And honestly when I was a kid you never ever had to worry about becoming a robbery victim at Har Mar. Man are they destroying the Twin Cities with this welfare system our state has.

I remeber the Har Mar Mall in the 1970's. Minnesota, we use to live in social paradise in comparison to nowadays. However, the pc point of view would say it was "too white and uptight".

if I'm part of the gay community, but not the part that thinks adult men should be able to sleep with children. Let's say there are people that think all gays believe it is ok to sleep with kids

1) I cannot stop those that think gay=pedophile from thinking that,
2) the only way I can get the gay=pedophile people to not group me with gay=pedophiles is to get rid of the gays that think it is ok to sleep with kids from my community.

There are many ways to look at this. Here is one: men that grow up without fathers grow up without something fundamental. A culture, both black and white, that celebrates the "single mom" is making a mistake, and the fruits of that mistake are guys whose sense of manhood is all screwed up. You can look a million other places for explanations, and they are all valid in some degree. But the issue of the fatherless male is real and we would do well to address it. Oh, and, yes, I am making some assumptions here. But I would put hard dollars down that most of the monsters who show up in the police blotter are men who grew up without fathers.

That very well may be but I can also find you plenty of black men who grew up without a dad, who are are now very successful.

Seems there are two choices here...make something of yourself or blame your life on your upbringing.

I just watched a black woman talk about her three kids. She has three sons who are all professionals, she is probably in her 50s or 60s. She has never even owned a home - couldn't afford it. But they all grew up just fine.

For every black youth that claims 'no dad' added to their troubles, there is one that will tell you otherwise.
