The "former mayor" can't accept the fact that he was a total failure as a mayor and a loser running for city council. He is an egomaniac and he has the maturity of a 2-year-old.
It is sad his whole life has become trying to ruin the people he couldn't beat in a fair and open election.
I guess his motto is: "If you can't beat them, just pester them like a virus because it makes you feel like a better person."
Move on, "former mayor." Your act is old and tired.

What you fail to see is that if it wasn't for him and others like him in other cities - you would never know what city councils do. They try to slide as much by without public knowledge. These "pests" keep an eye on them and bring attention to them. As for John - a lot of people in Roseville really liked him. City elections have terrible voter turnout and voter knowledge about the candidates. While members of congress get re-elected at a rate in the 90's - city officials are often thrown out because of one issue - that may or may not be their fault.

Sleeping during a council meeting! Ever watch C-span? Afternoons are nap time in the nations capital. There are always at least a few politicians napping during senate and congressional hearings. I just always thought when you're 70+ and would rather be playing golf, those hearings get a bit tiring. When they wake up they find all kinds of things have slipped into bills they just signed. oops! |
|
Umm... nope. If you think turning a council meeting into a three-ring circus is good so people understand how government works, you are crazy. Lots of people have followed Roseville politics and council meetings for a very long time. John K did nothing but add layers of crap to the system. If "many" people liked John K, then thousands wanted him gone. The only sad people when he left were his cronies. He may have had some good intentions, but all he has ever done is tie up the process. Why does he still show up at every meeting and waste the council's time? All John is to the people of Roseville is a distraction. |

It appears that "Raider Man" is an expert in Roseville government.
He claims that "thousands wanted him gone" Seems a little stretch of the truth since Roseville had the same odd-year elections that we have in Maplewood and we used to beat your Roseville turnout with 30%. Then the comment about "tie up the process." Easy statement to make. How about 5 examples? Then the comment about "add layers of crap to the system." Ok, how about 5 examples? Help educate us here on John K. or on how little you really know about Roseville government? |
|
I think this guy pretty much summed up Roseville in two sentences. I could insert one or maybe two different names in that first sentence and it would also apply equally to us over here in Maplewood. |

I don't know what layer of crap you think he added. I know roseville very well and lived there 30 years. Most of the people approved of him and his work. Local elections reflect reaction - not general feelings. In fact most local elections show the opposite of what the people think. Turnout is so low that one issue - usually unhappiness with that issue causing turnover.
