the trailer park across from the pawn shop in harrisonville needs a fence which would hide the ugly trailers while reducing the traffic those poor people must have to go to sleep listening to.
that is a really ugly part of town which could easily be remedied.

this way i guess the trailer people can always keep an eye out for anything interesting going in the pawn shop!!!! i've moved to raymore and when i come back to visit have to drive by that stretch of road and can't help but notice the ugly trailers and wonder why the city doesn't put up a fence to hide all those tin cans.

We should put a fence around you and your house! "Are we to blind to see, do we simply turn our heads and look the other way."Well the world turns
And a hungry little boy with a runny nose
Plays in the street
as the cold wind blows
In the ghetto

mig, I am just wondering what your real problem is.
What sort of HOME do YOU OWN. Do you mow your lawn, do you do your best to keep your place up?Do you take your kids to school or your pets to the vet? Do you struggle with money from time to time? Are all your bills paid?
How is your vehicle running. Do you ever have to have it repaired? What sort of Wonder Car do you drive anyway??
Is your washing machine and dryer working well?
How about your furnace and air conditioner, Are they up to date and doing ok ?
How about your Children. Any problems or bills.
Your shoes ok? Need new ones?
What I am saying 'mig' is that we all (including you) are trying our best to get through life. We all have issues to deal with daily.
I would recomend that if you really have a problem with the looks of the Trailer Park, contact the owner if it. I am guessing you do not have a clue who owns in. You do not have a clue what Life is all about. So maybe you should wipe your snotty nose and shut the hell up.

I'm in total agreement with what was just mentioned above. Prolly lives with relatives and drives a car that'd remind ya of Barney Rubbles! Her children are also prolly a bunch of infidels! Ugh.

ah. i mentioned a fence. you are right, no clue as to who owns it but i would think that the easement would belong to the city of harrisonville. what is wrong with improvement? obviously the truth hurts. ouch. i don't drive. i am disabled. btw, has anyone heard of or remember ladybird johnson? her hubby used to be a president? she initiated a beautification program and boy, i didn't hear anyone telling her to wipe her snotty nose and shut the hell up. stay in your little shells and moan about what cannot be done. i made a suggestion. what is this, mob mentality....what is wrong with something looking a little nicer? who the hell wants to look at ugly ass trailers when a simple wooden fence would hide the ugly? boo hoo to both of you. and ps. i am artistic and like to look at pretty things, so go to hell.

Well said 'mig'. I am not informed of btw. Sorry.
I honestly think it still comes down to the fact that you should contact The City of Harrisonville. Beleive me..they have codes to prevent 'eye sores' in this town.
Improvement is good. My GOD that is what this great country is about. So maybe I agree with you
'mig' possibly there should be a fence. I am sorry that you are disabled. I really am. What ever your issue is.
I am artistic also. I see beauty everywhere. Even in the area you have been talking about.
SO... Let's make a deal. You stop complaining and I will give you E-mail contacts so you are able to express your thoughts to The City of Harrisonville. How does that sound 'mig'

stick it mig! lol! I still think the fence around you would be a good idea. Wipe your snotty little artistic nose and can it! Taken enough gruff from you for a day. Oh, and yeah, who has not heard of Ladybird Johnson and her "beautification initiation." I am not artistic but really who doesnt like to see beauty. cmon. really!? no, really!?

hey dig, where is all the anger emanating from? in hindsight, the trailer park is not a ghetto. i was wrong. it's just an eyesore which would look wonderful with a flowering hedge, fence, whatever. i guess we all see improvement in other things, other people....other than ourselves. if i sound rude...oops. as our chief executive said recently...i will calibrate my remarks.
so, here goes.
the trailer park is not an eyesore, but rather an opportunity for the landlord who owns the park and charges lot rent every month...to reinvest some of that money into a tangible barrier which would not only reduce traffic noise but would also enhance what the residents of said trailer park have to look out at every day.
beats me who owns the place, be it the city or private citizen...so i'll take my little disability and shut the hell up. thank you.

No, the first person was right. That place IS a ghetto. I cringe just driving by the place. It needs a HUGE fence or just to be demolished. And yes, I have a nice, kept up house, good car, and great kids. Just because the trailer park people are poor doesn't mean they have to be so damn dirty. They could clean up around their disgusting trailers. IT'S FREE TO CLEAN, PEOPLE.

It sounds like we all agree that we don't like to look at what WE call trash or others junk. We don't know just how to fix the situation but we can all bitch about it. Kind of like the weather HU? I agree that the right bushes ot vine or trees etc. would look a lot better. SO....what can we do? As a group we could go to the City or the property owner and find our options.
Personally I think it is the property owners responsibility and duty to provide a solution to this situation. I know if I have something the City considers an eyesore they don't hesitate to tell me and fine me if it is not corrected.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Virgo

If the December sales are calling you, you'd better work out a budget before you leave the house. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to use your credit card first and only consider the cost of your purchase later on. Even so, you could track down some great bargains now, provided you don't get carried away and buy items that you don't really want simply because you're astonished by the amount of money you'll save in buying them. But you'll save even more money if you don't buy them!
