Im looking for historic or old real estate, particulary one that is known to be haunted, for purchase. Has youngs mansion been torn down yet? If not could anyone tell me about it, whether it is still vacant, who now owns it, and anything else you can share with me.
Im looking to open a B&B |

I don't know about Youngs currently. I do remember stories about it from high school. I never trespassed but I was at the property years ago. Also another idea for you a few years back they did a story on ? I don't remember what channel but it was on national cable on a haunted house here near here. It was investigated by a local paranormal investigation team I know the main guys name was Brian. The team is called Missouri Ghost Hunters Society
International Paranormal Investigation I think. This house was in Germantown. But I am under the impression if there is anything paranormal around Brian ? maybe Brian Lyle? would know about it and probably the back stories too. If you can't find him or if I can help with something else let me know. |

Hello,
Yes Youngs Mansion has been torn down. But you are interested in a haunted location for a B&B. Well just outside of Oceola, approximately 50 Mins from Butler, Mo there is an old "Poor Folks Home", and "X-Insane Asylum", remodeled into a once dinning/Bar. It is now vacant and was built in 1853. The upstairs has an L hallway with approximately 30 rooms set up like that of a hotel, perfect for a B&B. It is in need of repair, but has lots of potential. As far as Haunted, We just finished investigating the place and it has a lot of activity. If I can be of any assistance, please email me at bl4good@ghosthaunting.com or go to our site and you can click on the contact us page. http://www.ghosthaunting.com Thank you Brian & Linda Lile Missouri Ghost Hunters Society

i know alot about youngs mansion although it no longer stands. i know that during the pre-civil war era that man named young ran an underground railroad underneath his mansion located a mile south of Adrian,mo. during the civil war they found that mr.young was indeed running escaped slaves into kansas. they killed him and his family and allthe slaves burnt the barn next to the mansion to the ground. my ex wife has been in the tunnels in the early 80's where bones of former slaves still reside. she and her friends expiereced supernatural hauntings in the mansion such as one room tell the story of the place on the wall. also she claims that they her in the house in tyhe dark alone and she turned around to find a green orb in front of her the next thing she remembers is being outside the house with no memory of how she got there. i personally have witnessed one of those green orbs float out the top window on the north side of the mansion while out checking it out with my ex-wife. i ve seen grass move out there when there was no wind while walking up the hill to the mansion with some friends all these things happened no alchol, nodrugs involved at all. |
