Seems to me the guy was "Drunk Texting".. that would explain the KEG! lol I am a "Text-A-Holic" ~~~ I haven't been in a accident, and actually think I'm more cautious while I do text, for the very reason I would look like a fool bumping into someone. Texting was a GREAT invention! Saves me from all the BS talking, get to the point, especially easier when the kids decide when they hear my phone ring that it's time to get loud, and argue with each other, it's near impossible to have a decent conversation with the kids all loud in the background! lol

David: I don't DRIVE and text...I know when it's safe to text and most anyone that has multiple kids KNOWS that kids decide to "need attention" when your on the phone, that's just kids. So as far as me not raising my kids right, you have no clue! My oldest is straight A's & gotten every award possible, my middle child is right there with her, and my youngest is starting Kindergarten this year. You don't know me, so don't say I'm not a good parent! My children are well mannered, the whole thing about being loud when I'm on the phone, I'm sure many mothers would atest to the same thing!
You're probably some old prude who isn't up with technology and just can't handle seeing the little buttons on the phone to be able to text yourself so you have "issues" with cell phones. Wish you luck in your bitter life :)

I retired from the telecommunication industry with 38 years of service. My three sons all have graduated from college and have high paying jobs, not in MB (there are no high paying jobs unless you think $6.00 is good)

Like I said, you don't know me. Congrats on your kids, I'm sure you're proud and should be. Don't be so quick to judge people though. Oh and as far as jobs here... I've lived here all my life and been GREAT! Don't need a million dollar job to be happy! Money isn't everything. We're happy, healthy, and we're well-off, my husband provides well for his family, thank you for asking :)

Couldn't help but laugh! You know lot of people HIDE behind the computer screen, especially OLD LONELY BITTER people. We're all here for same reason, to read the news and give our opinions about them. I just hate when people think they need to lash out on others for no other reason than to get their rocks off. Hope you all have a good day!:)

To Native MB Girl: If you have raised your kids so well than they should know to shut up when you are on the phone. Obviously you failed in that department.

I swear you people sure jump the gun... Come on now... NO PARENT CAN CONTROL EVERYTHING THEIR KIDS DO! If you think you can and you are a parent, I feel sorry for you (and them) because one day that is gonna bite you in the a**. My kids are respectful, like I said, kids are kids... I don't know one person that doesn't have kids that doesn't experience what I'm talking about.

This Native woman was making a TRUE statement and you judge her by saying that. I know exactly what she's talking about, I have 5 children and it never fails, someone will get hurt or need this or that anytime I am on the phone. That's life, not bad parenting!

Of course the Poster Boy for texting is the dipshit in Eugene, OR who drove into the side of a freight train.

Actually I have a lot of friends that have kids and their kids and my kids have never interrupted our phone conversations rudely. If someone needed something thats different. But they don't start fighting or yelling when we are on the phone and a couple of my friends have more than 2 kids. My kids are teenagers now and I respect their time on the phone and they respect mine. Its a two way road. I have a great relationship with my kids by seeking their respect and giving them that back in return. I don't control everything they do I just have taught them respect and privacy and picked my battles with them. I guess we all can't be as perfect as my friends and I though. To bad for the rest of you who have those out of control kids that interupt your phone time forcing you to text. :)
