Man arrested for alleged elder abuse

An 18-year-old Arcata man was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of abusing an elderly relative.

If the suspicions are proced to be fact and there was, without a doubt, elder abuse, that young man should be beat within an inch of his life. Anyone that abuses someone that can't defend themselves are sick in the head. Animal abuse, child abuse and elder abuse are, in my opinion, three of the worst offenses.

Ask anyone who knew him as a child, he was never too nice to his Grandparents. They took him in and took great care of him. He needs to be addressed by the law in the harshest way.

I THINK THIS 18 YEAR OLD PUNK, SHOULD SIT BEHIND BARS FOR A LONG WHILE, JUST WHO IN THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE IS? AS NOBODY SHOULD ABUSE THE POOR ELEDERY, RELATIVE OR NOT. PERHAPS THIS PUNK SHOULD BE HUNG BY HIS BALLS, TEACH THAT ASSHOLE A THING OR TWO, AS HE BEST NOT JUST GET A SLAP ON THE WRIST,& TURNED LOOSE,TO GO DO MORE DAMAGE. It is wrong to hurt anyone. Very sad. The young man is probably very messed up about the whole situation. If a minister stepped in on this subject, it would be a good time for hope. Obviously there is enough anger and that is just
fueling the fire.

Either way its very said.. The poor woman.. Bad enough when it happens its worse when its a relative.
