Buy U.S.-made to thwart Third World sweatshops
When people read about the tragic fire at the Bangladesh apparel factory that claimed 112 lives, they might shrug their shoulders and think that there's nothing they can do about it.

Some American companies use foreign manufacturing facilities because there are few safety regulations. No working smoke alarms, no sprinklers, often doors locked from the outside and in short nothing that costs money or slows down production. That allows the factory to operate cheaply and the US company to have its product manufactured at a fraction of the true cost,(if it had been done under the right conditions) and then we Americans complete the circle by accepting those standards when we purchase the product without asking any questions. We cannot depend on the business community to stop this practice on their own and it is up to us to buy Made in America goods and ensure that each of us is not contributing to this sort of exploitation and to make sure that we all do our part to create jobs right here at home. Find Made in the USA products and buy them and send a message that We The People will not be part of the sort of thing that happened in Bangladesh and that we will not support any company that is… John Connor UnitedAmericanConsumer dot com
