Five men charged in connection with the slayings of two women and their children during an attempted drug robbery are scheduled to appear in Marion Superior Court.

So should we just slap them on the wrist and let them go....according to the then sherif,it was not drug related, and they look like such good boys, they would never do anything like what was reported.

First of all, nobody's been convicted; we don't even know what evidence there is to connect them to the crime.

Secondly, there is a wide range of options between a slap on the wrist and execution.

I'm tired of supporting scum too; let's remove tax-exempt status from all churches, and stop giving corporate welfare.

I think 5 confessions and 1 of them pointing at Davis as the shooter is "SOME" evidence.

Perhaps a firm scolding and then an apology for interupting their crime spree would be fitting? Maybe throw in a million bucks for them to split up for their inconvenience would be more what you had in mind? Maybe they were just arrested cause they are black? Wow...we better take another look at this one. Could have been al-Queda.

All a person has to do is say a confession was coerced and it has zero credibility; it may well not even be allowed into evidence.

I'm not saying they are innocent or guilty. I am saying that they are innocent in the eyes of the law until such determination is made in court.

How in the world could you go from this article to an attack on churches? You are really filled with some serious anger, Cptr13! I know that you had 14 years of religious ed (though I'm not really sure what that means). What happened to make you so angry at churches? Your mom was a teacher ... did she teach in a church school?

Trust me, being a gay man has given me more than sufficient reason to find churches wanting, especially those who insist on trampling on LEGAL rights in the face of their religion. I didn't say they couldn't practice their faith, but there is no reason to give them tax-exempt status.
