With the enormous economic issues facing this country and bigger unlawful activities throughout the San Gabriel Valley don't the authorities have anything better than going into massage parlors. Many of the people who work there are legitimate and licensed. It's law enforcement again trying to "say" they are cleaning up the streets with these "parlor sweeps". Extensions are one thing, but please don't think that Arcadia or nearby cities are safer because of a smaller number of masseuses. B.I.T.T.

I'm a massage therapist in Pasadena and I think this is ridiculous. There's no reason for innocent people who are trying to earn a living to suffer just because of a few prostitutes. Can't they investigate without preventing therapists from getting a license and businesses from hiring new therapists for the next ten months? If 700 licenses have been given out in the last three years, then over 200 therapists will be blocked from getting their licenses over the next ten months. Imagine all the new graduates in Arcadia, fresh out of school and eager to work, finding out they can’t work in their city for the next ten months. That seems like an extreme measure to take just because they “suspect” that some people “may be” using massage as a front for prostitution. Well, let me their minds to rest: People ARE using massage as a front for prostitution, in every city across the country. They always have and they always will. Police usually turn a blind eye, until one day they pop up with something like this and punish everybody. It’s not fair. Police should investigate and decide who to target, not just lazily put a ban on all massage. This is completely unacceptable.

The City of Arcadia is doing the right thing by expanding the ban if they think that by doing so they are limiting the amount of 'scum' that comes into the city. The officials clearly have the cities best interest at heart. a city known for its excellent schools cannot also be known for having excellent brothels. the bubble which sheilds the city of arcadia from violent crimes that plague neighboring cities must also protect the sanctity of a quiet life for all citizens and their children,to ensure that their upbringing is a quiet and peaceful one. Further more the city's police department is understaffed. they cannot simply check every parlor in the city one by one. they must take action immediatly to make sure that the illegal activities stop right away. for all of you who are being critical of the choice the city has made, then you clearly do not understand what it means to live in arcadia.

Looks like Temple City is moving into Arcadia. Sonn it will look just like Montery Park.

when are the police going to do something about this illegal activity ? it is time to win back Arcadia from these prostitution/w$ore houses. Drive around and look at them, it is rediculous just like the fake front businesses in nearby temple city where all the bridal shops are fronts for w$ore houses.
