At least when Lonnie Gibson was mayor of arbyrd he had a watermelon festival. The mayor they have now don't do anything he don't know him but he looks like he's about 16 yrs old.

Ya when Lonnie Gibson was mayor of arbyrd we had a watermelon festivel every year. The mayor we have now don't do anything he looks like he might be 18 yrs old or so. Wish we could get Lonnie back that would be a blessing from above.

I think you may be talking about the James Brothers watermelon stand. I believe there are still watermelons sold there but I'm not sure if it's the same people.
