A 15-year-old girl who told police she was sexually assaulted in Elkridge on June 19 has admitted making up the story, authorities said.

She should be charged.. People can't make things like this up.. She's the type of girl who would lie and send an innocent person to jail.. Stupid people and she's old enough to know the difference between right and wrong.. Shame on the police department for not charging this sick girl..

They *need* to charge her! She also needs help, if she's looking for THAT kind of attention! Think of the teenagers that could have been helped faster if she wasn't taking up time lying to the police? If they don't charge her, they're wrong.

That's why we should not assume guilt to all suspects. Granted "most" end up being guilty but cases like these remind us that innocent people are charged and convicted of crimes they did not commit all the time. I've seen several stories coming out of Texas recenty where guys were released after serving 10+ years for a crime they did not commit.

I remember reading this story when it first came out and saw many racist posts as the alleged perpetrator was described as being black.

This girl should be charged so she can learn a lesson from this. Otherwise, life goes on for her and she'll really end up putting an innocent person in jail.

I say she should receive the same punishment as the guy who would have been falsely convicted by her false accusation.
there are a lot of people with felony records and bleak job opportunities because of girls like this.
