It looks like Ricky is innocent on this one. I have found out alot of information about this case. Yes, Ricky had his bad moments, crazed out on drugs and alcohol. And he did have the most loving and caring side that you could imagine. The truth that cannot be hidden about the murder of Denise is that the police took the first name that came up and was able to try him and convict him, and did so, knowing that there was evidence that would prove that he did not do it, including a confession before he was convicted. This goes to show that if you have a criminal or drug history, and do not have the money to pay off the crooked law, you are expendable. EXPENDABLE! That is what Ricky was, but God will right the wrongs.

I am Ricky's cousin. After reading what the some of the transcripts from the trial I am boggled as to how they even convicted him on the evidence they had. The thing that gets to me is to think that our court system is so messed up that the judges and yes more then one judge heared the case was just tired of dealing with the inadequate states prosecutioners and just wanted it done and over with. One judge even states that he just wants the trial over with but did nothing to make the proscution proceed. The next they apparently lose the DNA evidence or misplace it for 2 and half years???? 31 months of sitting in jail knowing you are innocent and every month going to court to hear that it is reset cause of the states incompetence. hmmmmm makes you wonder. As for Grandma Margaret she is up in age and did everything she could do that her health allowed her to do. My prayers are with Denises family cause I know what they are going through losing a loved one to murder but I pray even more that they get the right person in jail.

HELLO EVERYBODY. i cant beleive this system how much they have failed alot of us look at how they put an innocent man in prison and they almost destroyed rickys kids and his family and his friends. we all were devestated when that judge said rickys going to prison for 50 years it devestated me so bad and his grandma margaret and his kids all of his kids.nobody knows what that moment felt like unless u were there hearing those words 50 years it tore me and my kids up. we always said rickys innocent. he could never realy kill any body...he is a very good dad friend brother and son and grandson cousin and husband.... see how it hurt all of us and now the system realise wait we sent an innocent man to prison... i pray that they find the person that killed deneise i love her with all my heart my kids loved her too she was a nice person. she loved all of us and its saD THAT SOME ONE TOOK HER LIFE...

Ricky Pady is a very violent person. I've known him for several years and believe with every cell in my body that he is guilty. He chased me out to my car one night trying to rape me. Luckily I got away. He hated Denise and made it clear to me that he hated her with a passion. Thank God justice was served and he got the 50 years! This man has HIV, Hepatitus and Mental Illness. This jury did everyone a favor when they put him away. I know its been easier for me to sleep at night.

All I am saying is that I worked at a hotel in Port Aransas when this happened and a week before all this came out she stayed there. I remember her very well. Very nice lady. We talked about the Mercedes she was driving. She said she was getting ready to leave her boyfriend. That speaks volumes I think.

to all these people that run their mouth saying this man is guilty you should shut your mouth i have been in jail for things i did not do than after i spent time in jail and my family went through hell than the person finaly told the truth.and then after that the law was mad about me getting out so i stayed out of trouble so the cops couldnt get me for nothing so they went after my sons and put them in jail for something they did not do so it happens every day because the cops and judges and da are 90 percent dirty and if you dont have the money they will do it every time.ps i hope if he is inocent he gets out and clears his name.thank you

Not to mention the fact that all these relatives are barely literate , they'll never understand.

Other than that I agree , he lived near one of my friends , and was always very frightening to be around. I could not conceive of living with nor dating this fellow at all. Terribly mentally ill.

Yes it is and the police/sheriffs dept are some of the most frightening, scary ,crooked, on the take individuals I have ever seen ( except for one old one )I was sentenced to 40 hours community service and fined 500.00 for having a broken windshield and had approx 2700.00 in various other tickets which Ill be paying on forever, I left Rockport for good last year , moved into Corpus Christi and am never bothered like that by the law.

It had come to the point that they were stopping me everyday and I had to take control . Somebody as mentally ill as Ricky is, is just candy to them , whether he is guilty or not .

I have heard the Texas Rangers had been called in to investigate the entire law enforcement system there.
