Mayhaps because the ATF wanted to look good in the news. Heck the town sheriff could have walked in and said Dave cone on down to the station ATF wants to hassle you again, as they had done before.

Any one competent who looked at the evidence could see an extremely illegal assault took place at Waco. What got to me was the fact that the government agents that died were shot point blank in the head from behind while entering. The sad truth of the matter is that all of these people involved, adults and children are all brainwashed so bad by the crap their leader fed them that it will take literally years of therapy and interventions to deprogram the whole bunch if ever at all in the case of the adults.

now the dilemma also comes to light, if Texas keeps the kids and lets the parents loose, the adults will go on having children, do the same to them, move on to another camp grounds and rebuild all over again.

as the kids who become legal age leave foster care they will probably seek out their parents and rejoin them wherever they are.

Texas has opened up one huge can of worms here.

How do you think this would have gone down if the US Government had gone into the Catholic Church and taken all of the children from every Catholic because of all of the sexual abuse rampant in that church?

"Hey turns out the priest has been molesting these 5 boys, so we are taking all of the children of your church into state custody."

People knew it was going on in those churches as well. The church has actually been sued for damages. So why aren't the rest of the Catholic children considered in "Immediate and imminent danger?" Why didn't Texas go after all of the catholics over the past 10-20 years with all of the abuse scandals?

It's the same exact situation, there just aren't millions of FDLS to complain and so the government thought they could get away with stomping on the rights of all the followers of this religion. If you want your rights people, you have to give everyone those rights.

This should have been handled on a household by household basis, following legal guidelines, because now child services has lost its credibility and legal stance to help the girls who actually need it, which is the saddest part of the whole thing.

Shoot I live in a complex that is 98% illegal immigrants, I called INS to report it and was told point blank that they doubt anything will happen as a result of my complaint. They claim they cannot just go in and invade privacy to check for papers. Yet they can listen to our phone calls all day long without us knowing????
