One person was stabbed in a house on Monterey Drive this morning, according to emergency dispatchers.

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST FOLKS, but we really don't know what happened. Some randoms who were friends of the owners' daughter's friend included one who was possibly the victim's boyfriend (which victim?) who apparently had a gashed arm, was reported seen running to some abandoned buildings.

The bizarre part is that they were able to put together a story with this scant scat.

What a poorly written story!
"Random" is one of those trendy filler words that means so little now that it even gets used (here) improperly as a noun. It means, generally, "without plan or purpose". it can mean "whatever", or "stupid" or absolutely nothing.
I suppose the girl meant they were a bunch of losers who just showed up and weren't her responsibility.

My understanding of teen speak is that randoms are people they may or may not know who appeared out of nowhere to attend an impromtu gathering and whom they might hook up with if they are cute and respect them as women not stupid teen girls with no rational thinking skills.
