I think the sheriff got off way to easy. So a mans life is only worth 40hrs of community service and 380 fine. And for a vet that served this country how very sad.

Accidents happen. Sounds like an honest mistake. What do you consider a proper punishment? Your forgetting about the probation and license suspension.
