1 Legalization, taxation, and education. Been saying it for years. |

1 Once it's legalized the bottom will fall out of the price and the black market will dry up since there will be no money in it. The only "black" commerce would be people who are good gardeners selling to their friends so that they can avoid expensive, taxed liquor store weed. And that homegrown price will be low enough that the government racketeers will be as disinterested as organized crime will be in trying to take a cut. But there will still be those who can't or don't garden and will provide ample tax revenue to the state. LEGALIZATION IS THE ONLY SENSIBLE OPTION. |

Give him a slap on the wrist and send him on his way. Make it legal, let out all the people serving time for pot offenses like this, and lock up real criminals that need to be behind bars.

Hopefully, he'll get out sooner with good behavior, say 6 years at most.

1 I agree...ok, lets not tax it and let the free market handle it....as long as you agree to not put the people in jail who are satisfying the market demand for this non-harmful drug. |

Christina and 420dude, what do you think of that!!

This is just one....the list goes on and on. Drug crimes, incidents that should be misdemeanors all rake in the jail/prison time. Meanwhile the real criminals like child abusers, rapists and drunk drivers get a pass. Sad reality is,,,,no one cares one way or the other. The justice system says it is doing what the public wants. I keep wondering just who those public are. |
