No one deserved to die. Josh was a nice man. Be considerate towards his wife and family.

For those of you being respectful, thank you. This is a horrible tragedy. Nothing like this should ever happen to anyone.
For those of you that don't know what your talking about, maybe you should get your facts straight before you start bashing people. How would you feel if you family was in this situation?
Its one thing to have an opinion but to bash people is not fair or right. Josh's family is going through enough without having to read stupidty.

As everyone knows, good people can make bad choices/mistakes especially when alcohol is involved. Chuck will now have to live and regret this for the rest of his life, as well as lose a close friend. My thoughts and prayers go to both families~

Respect the family, without all the harsh remarks and act like an adult, instead of a child. Josh was a good person. When something like this happens, it is devastating for both families. My heart goes out to Josh's wife. I remember when my husband was hit in the head last year, by an unknown person and it was horrible & frightening. I was fortunate and thank God, my husband is still with me today. I will pray for both familes.

to those of you who just assume things you need to get a clue. The media seems to leave out the key factors in a story to make it lean twards one way or another. so please if you dont have anything kind to say dont say anything, and now is not the time to get pollitical i mean seriously give it a break.

You know I could not agree more with the family member that posted. This family is going through a very difficult time in thier lives. There is absolutely no reason at all whatsoever to be acting like this. The people that are making these opinionated comments really need to take a step back and put themselves in this families shoes for just a moment. What if it was your Husband, Brother, Friend, Son, Cousin ETC. You would feel sad and upset all at the same time especially if you knew both of these 2 young men it is very hard to beleive that this actually happend! I would encourage everyone thinking about giving thier opinion/advice for the public to see refrain from being degrading and disrespectful toward either family this really is not any easy time for any of us! Josh will be greatly missed by many people who knew him and lives that he touched. I WILL MISS YOU JOSH!

Okay, all of you shit head people that think that anyone, especially Chuck would try to kill his best friend of 15 years is f*cking dumb. I obviously feel horrible for the Skare family, who also loved Chuck. Like any man that thought anyone was threatening his home or family wouldn't do the same thing. Obviously something horrible occurred for this to take place and none of us will know every detail. Chuck wouldn't intentionally put himself in the situation to have to leave his family for many years if he didn't think that it was necessary. He cares for his wife and child just as much, if not more then most of you out there. He is one of the most intelligent, nice, fun and caring people I have ever met. I again feel horrible for the Skare family as I assure the Reynold's family does as well. I am not saying that the bat was the right way to do it but, again in a desperate situation people can do what they feel is necessary when they believe someone has threatened all they are about. The real people that anyone should be concerned about is Chuck's wife and daughter and his family and Josh's wife and family. They are the ones that are having the hardest time. It just makes me sad that friends are going to take sides here and neither Chuck's or Skare's wife deserve this, like they had anything to do with it. Please think about this as yes, a shitty situation, but it hurt everyone involved. Please, if you know both the families, remember they both are having a horrible time with this and at least respect them .

Its funny how people that new Chuck say he was such a great person he was obviously a loose cannon ready to pop. In his police report I am still puzzled how he was protecting his family. Chuck is not a "little guy". Did he really need to be a pussy & get a bat? Was he afraid to use his fists? Another thing wouldnt you just throw the guy out of the house instead of being a psycho & killing your so called friend!! With friends like that who needs enemies...It's too bad that Chuck's wife & kid had such a psycho for a husband/dad...FREAK!!!!!!!!!!

Chuck is not a psycho or a freak. People like you are so quick to "know everything" and you again were not there. You obviously have a biased opinion being you are related to the victim.

Friend of Wife to Josh

It makes me sick to my stomach the nasty comments posted on this site. All the negativity and sarcastic comments are not going to solve a damn thing. Its a tragedy what happened to Josh. Maybe Chuck was defending his family, but from what? From what I've heard from the family and friends of Josh and his wife, Josh and Chuck were fighting with each other...Josh was NOT going after Chuck's family in any way. Chuck overreacted and because of this, he is going to sit in prison for years to come. Alcohol makes people do stupid things but it is NOT an excuse to murder someone. I've dealt with drunks and I know things get out of hand. He should have thrown him out of the house, called Josh's wife or another friend to come get him, or hell call the cops to have him removed from the premise. It is not justifiable to get a bat and hit him with it, let alone in the DAMN HEAD!!! Because of the stupidity that went down that night, one is left dead and the other is to rot in prison for what happened. It could have easily been avoided. Please respect both families and let them grieve.

I never said they were fighting!I read an article from (ch.4) news on their web sight(wcco.com) stating "Reynolds told police,Skare attempted to enter the bedroom where Reynolds was sleeping with his wife. According to Reynolds, Skare threated him. An altercation ensued & Reynolds, admitting he was upset, got a baseball bat& hit Skare. So I put 1+1 = Reynolds Protecting his FAIMLY...Was it right? Maybe.. Maybe not.. the COURT or JUDGES will make that decision.

Sad thing is, there are only three people who know the complete story and that is Chuck, Josh and God. No one is going to ever know the whole story but those three. He could have been protecting his family, I agree with that. What I do know for certain is he totally overreacted and killed his friend. Either way, he was in the wrong and he knows it.
