What a shame! I never thought I would see 87 change. Its been a little dinosaur of a beer joint for years. Didn't matter who you were, rich-poor, sucessful-degenerate, friend-stranger, the people of 87 could care less about your social status. I've met lots of unique characters there. And it just goes to show if you treat people with respect they will return the respect. So many memories and good times have been shared at little 87. I'm gonna miss that Honky-Tonk! In memory of Ray and Polly Beegle..

Well you dimwits! Those strippers are the same women that gave you free boob shots in the past at 87. Now the only difference is ya gonna have to pay to see. And don't think buying em a beer is gonna do it anymore, ya gonna have to reach deeper in those pockets and fork out enough to but a mixed drink. LOL!!

Some gal with "fake tits" that use to bartend somewhere locally is what I keep hearing. That's the scoop! No one seems much interested in knowing much more about her such as her name or personality. She has boobs and can serve alcohol. Alls right with the world of 87 for now. LOL

It will never be the same, used to walk in see all the old timers sitting at the Round table playing set back, Jenny , bud miller, etc, there all gone but the memeries, but really the bar was supposed to have went to Charles ,he took good care of his grandmother and the bar, Polly told me many times she wanted Charles to have the bar, we all know Johnny never done anything but use his mothers money.

I'm not sure what what part you feel I'm lying about. Did you miss my point? If you are referring to my remark about the new owner, it's called sarcasm my dear and directed at the new ownership and her followers.

I know things change and in this case, change is going to destroy a place so many of us love. I never thought Johnny would truly sell it to an outsider. But that's ok-we have our memories.
Come on let's just see who has the best memories. Who's quote?
1. "what time is it?" "Miller time!"-
And another one?
2. "we're all together now"

Got more old timers of 87? Share them please.

I'm the new owner of the 87. Nothing has changed at the 87 except we are giving our customers more variety and more choices! All are welcome! Sorry, no strippers though!

That's funny cause I remember Polly saying that all Charles did was spung off her and steal from her. I would talk with Polly often and her son Johnny ray was her world. So for someone to say Charles was to get the bar is crazy. I wouldn't think he would get anything. But I just go on our conversations we had and yes it's sad that the bar was sold. I hope they don't change much. I was there not long ago and the old pics of all of us is still hanging. I miss being able to go over and talk with polly she was one hell of a women and will b missed.

Charles has never once ever said he expected anything from his grandmother, and I also know for a fact he always paid for his own things in cash . His own. He made his own money. His problems never started till he moved to Ripley .I know cause I was there for 4 years he done all the work for Polly and never asked to be paid for any if it so who ever is starting the rumor have some respect Polly is gone do drop it
