Two former employees accused of embezzlement in Lee County Treasurer's Office

That's why Chadwell is a treasurer and not the attorney general-he's clueless about the crime against the people of Lee county...even though they made it right, that is only part of the restitution. The two, at minimum, should be convicted and have a record, so they never hold a job of public trust. As for ikey joe, he should resign -not because of the crime in his office-but because he doesnt see the wrong or harm to the county...the people of the county trusts him with the treasury??

I think Ikey has suffered memory loss. He seems to forget about the teenaged girls that broke into his home and stole a vcr, etc., nothing valued near 6000.00 , one was Ott Cowden's daughter, and Ikey did NOT give them a second chance nor worry about their futures. He took them to court. I guess he has double standards when it comes to the people he serves, and his own money/posessions. Was it his son that left a door open at Ed's grocery during business hours only to come back after hours to steal and be caught? Yes And the same son made bad decissions and a man from Dryden lost his life. How can we get him removed from office, fired? He doesn't deserve a chance to resign, he has maade a lame attempt to cover up a crime

Isn't it interesting that when one goes to the courthouse to pay their taxes they are told to write the check out to Ikey J. Chadwell, NOT to Lee County Treasurer's Office...I rest my case, 1984Hokie...

the principals daughter doesnt get in trouble even when she ran(speeding) down (old man)jim in the middle of rose hill a couple years ago!how many times has she wrecked now??

she didnt kill him but she lied to the law and said he walked in front of her.adrianne metcalf is her name.there probably isnt even a record just ask don ely,tuanna eldridge,or others. don lives just out from rose hill school.anyone can tell you where he lives

Truth you are correct. I searched the court records and her only case is the embezzlement. Is she Ikey Joe's niece?
