The Dillingham Law Firm Believes Zimmerman Has A 90% Chance of Prevailing

Most legal scholars believe the State has over-reached with its charge of second-degree murder. The physical and testimonial evidence support Zimmerman's narrative. The case appears to be Zimmerman's to lose. However, at least initially, Zimmerman was an out-of-control client who sabotaged his credibility by not revealing the money donors had sent him, and he made an unfortunate televised appearance that on its surface, did little to promote his case.
This will be a very interesting case. The statutory law is both on Zimmerman's side and ambiguous in some areas (for example, "initial aggressor" is not defined within the statutory scheme). Anyone who has a concealed carry weapons license in Florida should track this case very closely, and purchase the Seventh Edition of Florida Firearms Law, Use, and Ownership. It is an excellent treatise and its author, Attorney Jon Gutmacher, is highly regarded in this area of law.
I am an Orlando attorney who practices in the areas of personal injury and criminal defense. I'd very much like to discuss the public's perception of this controversy in a civil manner.
