Thank you. STo paraphrase: "So much waste and so little time".
Time for a Lake County Comptroller's Office as an elected position, with countywide oversight responsibility? Whatever happened to financial conservatives? Please not that virtually every elected official in Lake county is a "hard-core" Republican. "Aw Nuts"!

Mary,Mary, Mary... they know more than you obviously with a comment like that. When you have low life's like Hill and Stivender making decisions, the people of Lake County shouldn't expect much.

See what I said in the last one? Jay is stripping everything and now is looking at pensions. EVERYTHING Ron did he is yanking. We should hire someone to run the coffee shop and make ALL the profits ourselves. But the little mind of Jay can't comprehend it. GOOD JOB LEESBURG!

If you take the benefits out of a below-average salaried job then you are left with a below-average salary.
Maybe that is City Manager Jay Evan's goal. Make everyone so miserable they find better jobs. Then he can hire all new employees at below-below-average rate's of pay with terrible benefits.
I don't understand why he has a "company" car anyway!

Nice of you to tell the external media what is being cut before you can tell your employees.

Betrayal leads to Distrust.

The true question is asking why do people have company cars that live over an hour away who don't even drive anywhere while they are at work. I'm curious why upper management even get mileage reimbursement each month of several hundred dollars when the rest of the workers have to do the SAME thing...drive to work...except in their OWN car.

I have been a government employee for over 20 years, and I am now in "middle management." The waste in government is worse than you have even begun to uncover. It really disgusts me. I am not only a bureaucrat, but also a taxpayer, and I think that if the public knew how their money is spent, they would be appalled.

I know this may sound trite, but I blame Reagan. For years, people like me were attracted to government employment out of a sense of service. I have always wanted to work somewhere that I could feel good about what I did for a living. Some people believe that "doing good" means screwing people out of their money for 40 years, and then "giving something back to the community."

I prefer to think that doing good means doing good in the job you do for 40 years. In the past, and particularly under Presidents Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Johnson, government service gave public employees a feeling that they were serving a noble cause.

Reagan changed that. He said that government isn't the solution; it is the problem. Now, how many CEOs of Fortune 500 companies refer to their employees as "the problem?"

Today, the feeling among government workers is, let's use the system for personal gain and to hell with the taxpayers. The only consolation: the taxpayers have gotten exactly what they voted for.

Mary, while I respect your right to freely express your opinion and I have fought for my country and worked on many levels of government, doubt that you have, but I love my country but it's the politicians I don't trust --- make that local, county, state, and federal. Unfortunately, less than 25% of the eligible voters vote and then we have only two miserable not a nickel's worth of difference political parties that have a strnglehold on our Republic, that's why I would gladly vote for Ron Paul if given the opportunity. God Bless.

Why people fight for their country is beyond me. You are killing people or aiding in it. Who gives you the right to kill people? Amazing people go to war and kill each other over these stupid holy wars.
