If the prosecutors had to keep up with the schedule mailmen/women and other delivery company personnel have to, they would understand the stress people are under and sometimes people do make errors in judgement. We're all human.

Sounds like he was performing a public service instead of a criminal act.

You are probably right, and that's a crime in itself.

"""...Postal agents have not found any first or second-class mail at Padgett's home..."""

The schedule stinks. I don't even know why they allow those 'sales discount coupons'---(you know the ones that are about 12 pages and ya get one each month) to be carried out. They fall apart, have inserts that fall out of the pages, are slick as all get out and every box has to get one. If this is the case, then they should make the folks who put these things out PAY first class postage. Handling those things definately slow the mail person down. This man is one brave soul!!!

My mother's third husband did the same thang in California years back. He was canned, spent a little time in jail and put on probation for a year. On top of that, my mother left him. She doesn't stand by her man. LOL.

He found out the hard way. He walked his route and I reckin he got tired of the weight of the junk mail and there was a lot of junk mail.
