ACS takes credit for all the hard work of the employees, yet not even recognizing them. ACS employees are treated unfair and unjustly, it really sucks that ACS gets regocnition for something it does not deserve!!! It is the employees that make the company function as a whole, without them where would ACS be today??? Hmmm.....

wow peeps non constructively complaining on the internet... that's original. ACS has done fine by me. Benefits that DON'T suck and kick in after 90 days. Vacation time that starts building up immediately and can be used after 90days... beats the hell out of the standard 1 year rule. Employees do make the company work. I see my site do an employee appreciation day every month. When we are hitting all our numbers the appreciation day stuff is nice. When we are um... sucking we still get the lil things.

Josh, I worked at a company once where they gave us ice cream every friday. The reality is if you treat me well I will stay, but I can by my own flipping ice cream.
Now I am a customer of ACS, and I agree with all the comments here except yours. Enjoy your employee appreciation trinkets.

Josh, I work at the olympia center... i worked in november, it is not a great company, the benefits are actually not good...at all, only 70$ of a doctors visit. thats a rip off... The oly center doesnt hit the numbers, they cut things everywhere, and they only actually recognize supervisors, they dont give a sh** about the reps.

the benefits are fine (standard)...it's the leadership that fails and the crap flows down to the account management level where there are a bunch of emotionally dysfunctional managers in place (hidden behind PMP certifications).

They will do anything to make a profit. I worked in a management position but didn't last long because I can guarantee you they don't give a crap about the quality of life of their employees.

My advice to new employees? Learn what you can - I learned a lot being a phone rep. Then use those skills and experience to get another job.

Don't take a job at ACS. If you have one, leave. They don't respect you or your family. They just take your life away from you and leave you an empty, bitter shell of a man. They have no respect for your human dignity. You're just a tool to them. They say they have a high stress work environment, but its more than that, its a lethal level of stress. I've done high stress before. Very high. sleep under desk for days high. This is beyond that. They take your weekends, nights, holidays, holy days, they don't compensate you, you dont get to take your vacation time, and they dont even ask - they order, force, coerce, threaten.. if Satan ran a company, this is the one he would run.

I am currently a Operations Manager at ACS in Raleigh, NC. It really does suck, it does not matter if you are in upper managment or just a call center agent. They treat everyone unfairly. Not a good company to work for.

PLUS! As an Operations Manager I am fully aware of my job duties yet they pair me up with a another operations manager who previously was a sale associate at Victoria Secret and has no experience in the realm that she is in.

Seriously stay away from ACS it will ruin you. I know that for a fact!

Here's the main thing, well, one of the main things since there are so many bad things about ACS. But the major key for me is that there seems to be no reliable pay scale. I have worked for ACS in between going to school (since ACS won't hire part-time employees I have to work full-time for a couple of years to pay for my college) for a total of 7-years. My first hire date was in 1998, and I was making MORE money then than I am now!! How many jobs can you work at, factory etc.. that you don't increase in pay at least a little bit. ACS does not even allow for the yearly raise, or the "cost of living raises". They conviently justify it by saying, "it's piece rate, you can make as much as you want, without a limit as you gain speed"! Oh really? That is almost like an athlete contract, sure at first you start off learning, you get better, and eventually you have a prime where you do your job pretty well for a couple of years. But then the carpal tunnel sets in, or the back goes out from sitting all day, or you simply get switched jobs or batch types (if you're a lowly data-entry op like me), which makes you slow. They switch contracts often, they switch pay rates (they cut mine by nearly 30% in late 2008), they switch programs of how you do key your work, and then have the nerve to say it isn't a skill position and that is why the pay isn't better for data entry ops. I would bet that 98% of data entry operators know more than upper management, easily and know what actually needs to be changed to make things smoother. But the fact that you know from the get-go that you will NEVER get a raise, unless you brown-nose into management or just luck up into it (and I know it is a crappy job to manage, just better pay) then you WON'T get a raise. And when you finally decide you've had enough and quit, they will have a 100 young people that need a job right there to take our place. That is why they can keep screwing us over. I took my yearly ethics training today and have to ask myself, "who the hell really should be teaching who here, concerning ethics?" Really it's just saying, protect our company, don't get ACS in trouble for leaking any personal info, don't joke around using adult humor unless you are in management and everyone will laugh with you. But that's a company tactic to scare you into worrying about your job and occupying our minds with different issues instead of how really unethical ACS is. And I say this in an unethical business world, ACS stands atop the pile of unfairness as far as I've seen. But everytime I leave I severely miss my co-workers, which sucks. But I have to get my degree and get out of ACS because of my own personal ethics and personal pride. I can't be talked to like a child and be lied to like I am a complete idiot any longer. Luckily this will be my last 4 semesters. I pray and hope that any of you that really have to be at ACS, I hope they change. Try to make yourselves heard, maybe try to form a union. But you have got to make them listen or it will NEVER change, you have got to get them to give you yearly raises, it's only right that a company reward you for your loyalty. But I pray if you don't want to be there and have something else you'd rather do, please, make a plan of how you could do what you want to do, and do it. If it's an attainable goal for your talent, skill, or mental level, then all you have to do is set your mind to it and do it. If you have friends there that you will miss, get their number and always stay in contact with them. Maybe one day you could be in a situation where you could get a few of your friends out of there that don't want to be there. Peace and god bless you. Sorry for the long post but this is how I feel about the matter. I work at the Liberty office in Kentucky, my name is Joey Combs and if upper management even cared enough to read this, I still wouldn't care, it's just how I feel.

Oh what a sad story I have news for you NO COMPANY YOU will work for will ever give you recognition you think you deserve. But as a general rule you would have to do something worth recognition. I get recognized every 2 weeks with the ABC to the tune of $18/hour Maybe if you spent less lime whining and did your job you could get paid to

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Sagittarius

Once again, your nerves are getting the better of you. There will be some fraught moments unless you can control your temper and not get drawn into verbal fisticuffs at the drop of a paper hat. It won't help if a partner is feeling neglected as that will give you something else to worry about. You need to relax and start enjoying yourself!
