I have conducted business with Don on many occassions and have never had an issue! Always recieved what I was promised in a timely manner. I have a feeling there is more behind this story than we are being told. I could be wrong but I don't see why he would fraud someone for $4000 when he does much much larger auctions than that without an issue.

If you haven't heard of any fraud from him then you haven't been in town very long! Ha, he is such a friggin crook and has been doing this for years. He has just been ably to keep it hushed up! No, maybe four thousand dollars isn't enough for fraud but who is to say it wasn't MUCH more? Maybe there was more in the estate than anyone knows of?!? Hmmm, about time he was investigated. Honesty has never been his best policy has it?

I have done a lot of business with Don over many years and have always found him to be fair. His auctions are always well documented and I have always received slips with exactly what I have bought and for how much. I don't think that Don is dishonest, sounds like there is a little more to the story.

The word is "defrauded". The fact that you don't know this leads me to believe that you probably can't spell, reason or count, and wouldn't know how to tell if you WERE actually defrauded. Or maybe you're just a troll looking to stir up dirt.

Mr Peck has dubious auction skills. He seems to have a secret bidder every week in the audience....

Ya he is a fraud and he cheats people all the time. Now he has a store where he buys and resells. He says he buys at 50% but I sold him somthing nd he marked it up 4 times what he paid me. This is not a fair prctice if you tell the seller you are paying them 50% of what your selling it for. That sounds like a cheat to me.

It's not a law, but just plain auctioneer's ethics not to purchase items themselves at thier own auctions. I've made a special trip to one of his auctions to hopefully bid on a certain item that was advertised on the auction zip section on the computer only to get to his faucility to find this item wsn't there and have been told BY HIM that he has no idea what I was talking about when asked "where is the such n' such you had advertised?" and a day or two later seen with my own eyes that particular item in his store window!!
This has happened several times and I have not been to any of his auctions since and in the past have spent a supstantial amount of money over the years at his auctions so his loss now. He is a topic of conversation around town after a good share of his auctions and not much of it is good. He should take lessons on honesty from some of the real honest auctioneers such as Will Shattuck and Dave Bush!

You should take that "supstantial" amount of money and spend it on some "hooked on phonic" and pay attention to the spelling portion -a lot of attention. ha ha ha ha ha

I do not normally point out grammatical errors but since you do, I just wanted point out that you missed (faucility). The teacher can be wrong.

I don't understand how anybody can be upset. I have attended many of Mr. Peck's Auctions and had very few minor problems. This auctioneer, like any, is not a charity. You bid, you bought. You overbid, you still bought. Buyers remorse is not the sellers fault.

hey Hooter, no one's perfect and I don't think I'm all that bad for having never graduated school and besides, the issue that we're discussing here isn't my spelling, it's about one of our very own so-called politicians who's putting the screws to people like you! You should pay attention more to the "issue" here rather than "my" spelling!

You are helping me make my point you idiot. I did not write "faucitlity" it was one of the errors in the statement made that drove me to comment. Wow - I cannot fathom your ignorance.
