They are gonna pay the price...$250 per fish! Don't really know the kids first hand so I don't know if they have been in trouble before. Is the Fuller kid from the Fuller family with about 14 kids?

There were 3 separate articles in NNY papers yesterday about this and Sen Ritchie is now involved so it is kinda looking like Mommy and Daddy aint going to be getting their little angels out of this one.

I agree that they don't need to get off scott free, but they are JUST FISH! I hope they do learn their lesson from the incident. I'm sure that 1/2 the male population in this area has in some way or another broken the law while fishing or hunting. At least these kids weren't drinking and driving, doing drugs, molesting little girls, or killing someone. I don't think this is much worse of a violation than a speeding ticket or driving. Learn your lesson boys, move on, and think next time before you act.

if you interupt a the mating cycle on anything it will effect the population numbers, every female taken now has hundreds of eggs in them that are the future of the population ,and their not "just fish" walleyes are a gamefish that many people spend lots of money in ny to fish so they are also part of our economy

Yes, and one of them are always in trouble. Hard to keep track of your kids when theres 14 of them. One of them was in a coma this past winter and in Syracuse for a week or two because of them not being properly supervised with a snowmobile. Heres a tip Fuller family. Use a condom.

FYI, I am not "mommy" to any of these kids. I just think there are much worse things they could be doing. Am I saying that they are innocent or shouldn't have any consequences for what they did...No. Show me where I said any such thing. What I said was that I hope they learn their lesson from this incident. If you think that disturbing the fish while bedding, which is wrong and does disrupt the ecosystem, is as bad as driving drunk and killing someone or molesting a child, then you need a reality check. We don't make as big a deal in the media about some of those incidents as the media is making out of this. Don't read things into my words that aren't there. Read what I wrote.

why shouldnt they be punished....just because of their last name??..give me a break....we all know how the Shampines think they're all that...it couldn't have happened to better people.....Brennan Shampine has been robbing the system for years...if he's supposed to be too disabled to work how can he go to the fair and be involved in the demolition derby every year....come on....someone with a bad back or what the hell ever is wrong with him shouldn't be doing something like that....good let his kid go to jail....paybacks are a b****...and for all the times his wife has stuck her nose in the air at people....ha ha...guess your little life isn't so perfect

And where did I say that they didn't need to be punished? I don't see where I said any such thing. I have teenagers and if the worst thing they do is fish without a license, take fish illegally, jay walk, etc, then I will be somewhat satisfied. Would I defend their actions? Only if they are truely innocent. You do the crime, you do the time. As far as last names having to do with anything in Gouverneur...I don't see what that has to do with the incident at all. All the boys got in trouble, regardless of their last name. So if a parent does something wrong, are their kids to blame? I think that is a bit unfair. If the parents are law abiding citizens and someone in society, does that mean their kids are the same? I think not. We are all individuals and make our own choices. These boys all made their own choice, I'm sure their parents didn't tell them to do this or condone it. You are using a grudge against a parent to condemn the kids.

Okay. What I do know is this. They were fking around not being properly supervised, on ice, jumping ramps and doing dangerous shit that I, or any other responsible parent wouldnt allow their children to do because its DANGEROUS and oh oh oh oh my ..... one got hurt. BIG SURPRISE there moron. And so sorry I dont know the exact date he was admitted and released, he's not my son. What I do know is he was in Syracuse, seriously injured because nobody told them to stop. Nice.

First of all. Anyone who has shit to say about any of us can grow a set and come say it to our face. Especially those who can run their mouths about the fullers and Shampines. Whoever else has anything to say can come say it to our face. I'm sure your story would be different if you were saying it to our face. and anyone who knows anything about these fish would know that the water isnt even warm enough for the females to come spawn yet. Thanks and goodbye. Head moron <3

Give the kids a break. There are kids getting arrested at school everyday for drugs but that doesn't alert anyone. Man up and say who you are if your Gona say stuff about these kids.
