I cannot wait until smoking is completely banned in New York indoor, outdoors and in every home. It's a disgusting habit but that's simply a personal opinion.

The effects it has on health is undeniable and immesurable. It's helping to collapse our healthcare system and was a main catalyst for the Obamacare debacle.

And now that lawsuits and government taxation has caused the cost of cigarettes to become astronomical, the type of people you still see smoking are the dumbest among us. Anyone who tells you they can't quick is lying to you and themselves. It's been proven hundreds of millions of times by individuals who all said they same thing.

...and yes, I said it should be banned in personally owned vehicles and homes as well as anywhere outdoors.

Clearly parents aren't intelligent enough to not blow smoke in their defenseless childrens faces.

Clearly people with low to zero incomes aren't intelligent enough to spend their money or assistance on basic needs rather than tobacco.

Clearly you people need to be told what to do and when to do it.

Lmfao you are a fucking joke! Go out a get laid so you aren't so uptight! Hell why don't you smoke a big fat bowl while your at it that will really loosen you up some! If I want to smoke I'm going to smoke wheather you or anyone else likes it! I make more than enough money to support my habit and nobody will tell me how I can spend the money I work for! I own my house I will do what I want in it don't like it don't come to it! I own my vehicle don't like it don't ride in it its really that simple!

although i do agree with you on smoking around kids, there is absolutely no way the gouvernment can "ban" smoking in your own home and vehicle unless they make tobacoo illegal. so why would you make it your concern if people want to waste their money and kill themseves faster?? and yes i do understand and agree that the people that get assistance through the government shouldnt buy tobacoo of any form but until the system changes the way they provide the money to the people (for say, send a check only able to use for lights, rent, etc. and they wouldnt be able to cash it only for them uses)the people are gonna spend it on whatever they want. although smoking is a bad habit unfortunatly people do it and can do it in their homes thats the little thing called freedom.

Well, we live in New York. If they're going to go after our firearms and we're going to let them we might as well let them go after something they need to go after and that's tobacco!

isnt there is a BIG difference between firearms and tobacco? i think so. guns kill way more people than second hand smoke or even a smoker. so why even compare it to firearms?? why not compare to alcohol. drunk drivers, alcohol poisioning, etc. is worse than smoking so why not ban that in peoples homes?

also dont you think drunk parents that beat their kids is worse than the ones that my cause them to have asthma? just wanna let you realize that there is alot of bad things in this world and smokin isnt the only one. so for the government to try and ban "everything" its impossible.

Syrial y bash smoking? Everyone has bad habits! Maybe yours is drinking and driving, sleeping around spreading diseases or maybe your obese and stuff your chipmunk cheeks with McDonald's. I smoke and I work for my money. I own my own house and car I smoke in neither nor do I smoke in front of my children. So go stuff your children's face with take out and let them get obese. It's probably what you do cause I see lots of parents that do

I can assure you don't practice any of these ridiculous accusations but nonetheless.. it's all off topic.

Tobacco is a leading killer that directly effects those around you when used as intended (not abused) and not a constitutional right.

You shouldn't be allowed to smoke in a vehicle or home with children bc your being selfish and making a choice for them that's not fair. No law can secure this but your self conscience should be enough. Those who don't care and share inhaling smoke with their kids in an enclosed area .... Well do you really think that's fair to them or right???hmmm...

ok guns are man made and people make the "decision" to kill with them, tobacco is a plant that was man made into harmful cigarettes and people make the "decision" to kill with them too. its not the tobacco that kills its the people that smoke it. so this is not a cliche' either.its the people once again that are doing the killing..... AND FOR FACTS, STATISTICS, OR ANYTHING ELSE what have you really accomplished with this topix?
The difference is that the right to bear arms is a constitutionally protected right whereas tobacco is not. Therefore banning tobacco can be done whereas banning arms, cannot.

Understand now? If not, I question your citizenship and if you are naturalized, you should be forced to hand it over to a foreigner who wants to emmigrant here.

ok obviously you dont get the point. just trying to prove that there is alot of bad things that people do and to only compare it to guns is stupid... if the gouvernment should ban smoking in peoples homes why not ban alcohol? wouldnt you think that drunk people are worse than smokers? just dont understand why bash smoking when there is alot of bad shit that goes on in this country.
