My my my in all your years??? Well you have obviously led a sheltered life!! Crab meat is real..... And served in restaurants all over my friend! Go to a real restaurant and you'll NOT find imitation crab meat served. Ever hear of crab cakes??? Made of REAL crab meat not fake. Of course you'll have lesser eateries serving frozen or substandard product but fresh seafood is most amazing and you'll def not find that anywhere up here! It's all frozen crap
If you talk about food with a life long St Law county native, even the conversation leaves something to be desired.

Sorry but the two times I ate at Casablanca, the sauce tasted like it just came out of a can - no seasoning, no nothing. Thin, runny metal-tasting sauce. Disgusting. I thought it was just a bad night and went back a couple weeks later. Same problem. GROSS. Never eat there again!!!
For many in Gouverneur, any of the places mentioned are a nice night out. You cannot compare any restaurant here, to a four star restaurant in NYC. First they have fresh ingredients, second a trained chef, and third do not have a client base that generally is someone scamming the system for food stamps and other handouts.

The food is fine and if you do not like it, focking go somewhere else. Typical gouverneur pigs sitting back catching welfare and getting on here to put others down.

Grammer or grammar? hammond or Hammond?
Would the sentence actually state the following;
Work on proper use of punctuation and grammar, otherwise people will not take you serious?
Now that I fixed your errors. Blow me

Back to the subject....The Casablanca has great food with generous portions. Also, the employees and the owners are friendly!
I've lived in Gouv. most of my life, and most everyone I know says, "It's the best restaurant in town."

The name "village resident" has nothing to do with where I go to dine. You are ridiculous. I am 60 years old, and I have been to MANY different restaurants in many states. I am just saying that the Casablanca has great food.
Also, if you think that restaurant workers in other restaurants don't gossip...you are naive.

I went in there to pick up food for a luncheon I was doing and had to wait. The young man who gave me the food didn't provide us with any utensils and acted as if he couldn't be bothered when asked to do so. He acted like he was half asleep and reeked of cigarette smoke.

I have never smelled so much cigarette smoke on employees there. It is discusting. It shows up more now that you cannot smoke inside. I had the priviledg of passing the bartender to enter the place while he puffed away in the doorway. Enough already, try a breath mint.

" now that you cannot smoke inside " Are you serious !! Its been twenty years since that law was enacted. A smoke now and then is probably the only way they can deal with wanna-be prima donnas like you.

The food is consistently good, the help is friendly and courteous and the owners treat everyone like family. It's obvious by the packed parking lot.

I agree with the kid. At least he is acting mature and not name calling. Maybe you should change your name to childish. Even though smoking in public facilities has been banned for 20 years you can smell it easier and more prevalent when someone walks in, past you or talks to you after sucking down a cigarette. If they have to smoke to deal with patrons, then they will surely be on plenty of smoking breaks. It is an awful habit and no worth the money or time lost in your life. Proven fact - seriously.

Recently ate at Cavalerios and let me tell you the seafood there sucked, I'd eat the seafood at the Caz any day over there. All was over cooked and guess what! Imitation crab meat!! Caz has way better food and service the waitress at Cavalerios was rude and thought her shit didn't stink. Staying in our home town next time!
